Death Cab, where to start?

I've started listening to a few tracks and realised how much a few bands I like have really taken a lot from them!

Is there an 'essential' Death Cab album?

Transatlanticism

This is my favourite album of theirs that I have. I'm yet to hear all of their older stuff though, but it's a great album nonetheless.

We Have The Facts And We're Voting Yes is my favourite. They're all worth getting except the first album (though you should download Bend To Squares from that) and Plans.

Probably the photo album

Before they got too commercial (asis a commonly held view - personally, plans is my favourite) but after they found their feet.
