I cant believe people on this site like Coldplay

I just can't but then again that proves my theory that most people on here have or will have terribly conservative music tastes.

i like some of that album

but was always a little underwhelmed, but it gets a back amount of schtick for no real reason

I have no qualms about that idea at all

I think all their albums have something worth listening to on them.

Its just enjoyable vaguely melancholic pop music, nothing more nothing less.

I'm disappointed,

my hypothosis isn't.

They're not that bad, they're just not earth shatteringly amazing like everyone (this board excluded) seems to think they are. File next to U2 and move on.

i don't find them offensive

in the way i do, say, Razorlight, and i wouldn't say they were 'bad' as such. However, i take absolutely no enjoyment from their musical output whatsoever, thus i can safely say that i have never thought and do not presently think Parachutes is good.

of all of those chart bands that sell that MOR melancholic crap

including the likes of Razorlight, the Kooks, James Blunt, The Kaiser Cheifs and so on...Coldplay would probably be my least hated of all of them.
