Hi.

We are a band made up of a bassist/singer and a drummer. We’re both male and mid/late 20s. We’re looking for a guitarist. Our situation is a complicated one so I apologise for the long drawn out message below. Bear with it.

Anyway, we’ve both been in bands before that have done ok. Before I was only a singer but I have recently learnt bass. What we’re looking to do with this band is to have a chilled out time, rehearse about once a fortnight, gig a half dozen times a year. Don’t worry, we will take it seriously and be totally committed but we don’t want to engulf our lives like our previous bands have.

On the song style we’re looking for indie/garage punk. Lots of tunes whilst keeping it simple but a little aggressive at times. I’ll hope my hands up now and say I’m not a great bassist – I’m still learning! – but I’m not incompetent. Tunes are there already that are essentially made from bar chords and you’d be more than welcome to come with your own material too. We’d rehearse in the NW London area so that would be a bonus if you’re around here.

Bands we like: Pixies, Sonic Youth, Be Your Own Pet, Silversun Pickups, REM, Biffy Clyro, The Cure, Blur and too many more to name.
