I'll be leaving the house in about an hour. I can't wait. I'll have to be careful not to drink myself to an overexcited stupor before hand. I rarely get this excited about bands anymore.
deserves a sad face :( but im sure they will be back, theyve toured every album over here properly so im sure there will be other chances to see them. i was gutted they was only playing london :( but ive seen them on every album tour so i thought id wait and give them chance to come up here hehe
of course but yes you should have gone. To be fair if I hadn't have heard 'Vantage Point' already it wouldn't have been quite so great as the set was pretty much made up of the new album. However we still got the above mentioned 'Instant Street', 'For The Roses' and 'Theme from Turnpike' Awesome stuff.
they are doing two UK dates in May, one at Monte Rats and one at Pulp @ Moles Club in Bath (www.myspace.com/pulp_promotions). Well worth checking out. their new album is out now and features Mark Lanagan on guest vocals.
Can of Fosters is now £3.70 and that's the cheapest drink... It's really not worth it, you know? (If your local corner shop can sell you 6 cans for a fiver and presumably still make a small profit...)
oh, Breeders were great too. Where's the thread for that? They even played "Shocker in Gloomtown"
but my fave bands (Broken Family Band, of Montreal and now dEUS) keep playing there so I have to brave it... the sound is rubbish and the queues can be huge.
dEUS were good but not great. Four songs in total from the first two albums ? Pah ! It was great when they did Instant Street and Suds'n'Soda though. The new stuff sounded interesting, may have helped if I'd heared more than a couple of tracks before last night.
yeah!
should be good
I think you might know this...
ME!! ME!! ME!!!
I'll be leaving the house in about an hour. I can't wait. I'll have to be careful not to drink myself to an overexcited stupor before hand. I rarely get this excited about bands anymore.
It should be cracking though.
me!
and sadpunk! I'm really excited.
Wicked
looking forward to it... Gonna be handing out JF flyers too...
Yep I'll be there
Listened to the new album 3 times now and have come to the conclusion it's a return to form so pretty excited about this.
i'll
keep my eyes peeled for you.
JF Flyers
JF?
Jezus Factory Records.
A Surrey-based record label whose roster includes dEUS' original guitarist Rudy Trouve amongst others...
I am Iam
Very excited and I love a gig that's within walking distance from my flat.
Me will be there
Agree that the new stuff sounds a bit better than the previous album. Should be a good 'un.

WOAH!
this is tonight!?!?!
I thought it was Friday night! I've booked all my travel for Friday night/Saturday!
Please be joking!!! *rushes to check internet now*
I really can't believe I've done this.
I'm so fucking annoyed with myself.
I've booked tickets to travel down on Saturday and back on Sunday. I've marked the gig as being on Friday on my calendar.
I'm a massive spaz and I would like someone to come and kick my head in.
massive :(
that indeed
deserves a sad face :( but im sure they will be back, theyve toured every album over here properly so im sure there will be other chances to see them. i was gutted they was only playing london :( but ive seen them on every album tour so i thought id wait and give them chance to come up here hehe
This show is only
a warm up. They're doing a full European/UK tour in October.
OH NOES!
oh dear!!
I'd come and kick your head in but I've got it marked on my calendar as due for next weddnesday.
Does anyone
know who is supporting?
White Lies.
Any good?
Thanks!
Hmmm, checked out the myspace page and not that impressed.
meeee
Was hoping to get Sukilove
for support, but it seems there is a higher power working for White Lies.
I'm going
the new stuff sounds great.
Are any plans afoot
to meet in a pub nearby beforehand?
Good weren't they?!
'Instant Street' worth the ticket price alone.
come on then
make the other 2 dEUS fans on here jealous because they didn't go... ;-)
Well stating the bleedin' obvious
of course but yes you should have gone. To be fair if I hadn't have heard 'Vantage Point' already it wouldn't have been quite so great as the set was pretty much made up of the new album. Instant Street was pretty mental
probably get the new album based on that showing an all
Suds and Soda!!
by far the highlight! Could have done with more WCS really. Good gig though!
Could have done with less of four cans of red stripe costing £15.20. Literally disgusting.
Creature with the Atom Brain
Anyone see Creature supporting?

They were terrific, I thought.
Belgians, you see.
Forgot about S&S!
I agree good gig, hate the venue though and if it's any consolation 2 pints of Guinness was £7.65 I think?! Crazy.
Theme From Turnpike
was phenomenal!!!
at Koko yesterday

Aye
I've learnt never to bother with the bar at the Scala
I don't like the Scala
but my fave bands (Broken Family Band, of Montreal and now dEUS) keep playing there so I have to brave it... the sound is rubbish and the queues can be huge.

They were excellent last night.
The new stuff sounded good too.
£3.80 for a tin of Red Stripe? My liver breathed a sigh of relief.
