Of The punk/skin/oi variety or maybe any with a political leaning . I'm worried it may be mainstream and very safe this year and i want to see bands who kick against the pricks and rant against the state of this once great country thats now sinking into the guttter ? Any suggestions ?

easy

that'd be The Fratellis

the answer

is within the question.
and it's

no

In Case of Fire

Just wait til you hear them play "Plan A" and "Enemies"

Thanks

Ill check them out !! Bit of a poor response so am not expecting to see many many bands that kick ass !! There are good bands out there but its a shame so few nowadays want to challenge the status quo and accept all the crap around thats around them - very sad cos music should be very much about rebellion !!!

Once great country?

What kind of political leanings are you looking for here?

Lol, I look like I'm accusing you of being a Tory.

Bit of a clumsy slip up there.

this is clearly a brilliant country

that's why everyone skips the loser countries like france and germany to come live here

Damn straight.

.

Excuse Me

But you obviously live in a different country to me m8!More juvenile crime than ever before, more juvenile drugs & alcoholism ,no respect for society ,more obesity ,more selfishness ,more greed in society ,no manners ,worsening eductation standards and everything coming down to the lowest common denominator !!And france and germany have far more resepect for society and less problems than uk generally speaking !!In the past the youth and bands in particular spoke out articulately about the problems of the day !! Check out Jams -that's entertainment ,clash -career opportunituies ,smiths- panic etc etc The country is far more fuccked now than the 70's and i hear nothing interstiong by this countrys youth to say ion the whole about thwe ills of sociaty !! Lat year at canmden crawl billy bragg kicked more ass than the reat of the acts on the bill put together -tis very sad state of affairs!!!

if you look beyond the sensational tabloid headlines

life in this country is really fucking good, we've got jobs, money, freedom, and pretty decent music scenes springing up in every major city.

Just because there isn't a new Crass on every street corner doesn't mean everything has gone to shit.

Youre both wrong

for different reasons

hahaha

are you after a specific topic for subversion or just any general subversion of any kind?

"subversive bands": that's fuckin hilarious.

I think

you'd be better off going to an ararchist meeting or something sir.
Or try throwing your television out of the window?!

well, yes.

You're silly.

can we

get stillrockin to freestyle some grumpy old man rhetoric through a kaospad and delay pedal at camden crawl and call it subversive?

Cutting Pink have dropped out haven't they...? about as subversive as it gets...
