my fave acoustic thing is sybille baier, who has a sort of vashti bunyan story behind her (recorded album in germany in the 60's, forgot about it, rediscovered by her son and and remastered, J Mascis hears it and organises a proper release), it's very very good
When I was in South Africa recently I was lucky enough to see a band called Cabins in the Forest a couple of times. The guitar work by these guys is very similar to that of JBT.

Oh. You're not looking for acoustic guitar recommendations, then?
I'd have said a Yamaha was always a good entry level acoustic.
haha
oh dear... im not even going to say what i just did.. lack of sleep most definately induces thick as shitness
I heard some of his stuff yesterday
Time. Space. Repeat. acoustic (i.e. me) is a bit like that, only way less talented and with a whole lot more reverb.
And then a bit less talent again.
ah ok
you have no acoustic on your myspace though i see..
although
i do like this sound too..
Good good.
I've only done one acoustic gig so far, which went down well enough to convince me to do more...
There was a lot of improvised instrumental bits a la John Butler, one day I'll get these recorded...
ye
theres something special about acoustic sets
