Hitler Bad, Vandals Good

Is that the bes Vandals album?

I've only ever heard odd tracks and their 'Don't Stop Me Now' cover.

*BEST

It's the only one I've got

But it is pop perfection from start to finish.

Live Fast, Diarrhea

is generally regarded as the best.

The Quickening =

also amazing. Lyrics are great too

Finally!

I was worried this thread was going to sink like a stone!

god no

well it probably will, but still, recommend me some pop punk please.

how pop do you want it?

because I'm feeling dangerously close to a something corporate/all american rejects mood.

Second SC album

is awesome

as is the first

that is all.

I <3 'Fall'

YES!

AND

I woke up in a car

I used to have both albums

on minidisc :D
It was all about hurricane.

YES YES YES!

This has been the best morning, first, all the nu metal, now all this.

:D

i'm going to listen to some sherwood in a bit. so not much is too pop!

Can I mention Captain Everything here?

Because dear god they rule (Its a Watford thing).

^yes!

One of the few Household Name Records bands I failed to see live, but their songs were stupidly fast and pretty awesome.

you didn't see them live?!

that was the whole point of their existance! Lew was probably one of the best frontmen of all time banter/comedy-wise, and no one will ever know :(

I just kept missing them! :(

There's a chance I may have seen them at uni, but I was probably a bit wasted. Have they split up now?

extended break

from what I last heard :( To be honest I can't believe they continued touring so hard for so long they must have been living off literally nothing!

I loved 'Jackass'

Didn't Dexter Holland co-write that?

I can't get youtube!

what is it?

Wow

probably should've worked that out for myself!

Blink 182 - Duderanch

Is still a great album, possibly with the best opening pop punk song as well.

"I know I'm pathetic I knew when she said it, a loser, a bum, that's what she called me when i drove her hooooome"

Oh dear lord.

I watched all three American Pies the other night with some friends and I have not been able to stop listening to Blink since. I want to go on a Spring Break!

Blue skies broken hearts

= my youth

I wish people would stop posting Youtube links

I can't see them at work!

explain yourself!

explain yuself!

what you mean when you say half-caste!

erm yes sorry it was The last song by The All American Rejects

^HAHAHAHA!

Do you mean when Tchaicovsky mix a black key, with a white key, he make a haaaalf caste symphony?

YOU'RE BETTER OFF WITHOUT HIM

DON'T CAALLLL HIM

HE'S BREAAAAKING YOUUR HEART!

the get up kids

can we talk about 'something to write home about' in this?

because that record is 9 out of 10

If not 10 out of 10

Did you have the one with 'Central Standard Time' and 'Forgive and Forget' on? Uk bonus tracks - 2 of the best songs ever

i did

and i felt special.

it's probably the only album i still listen to and love from from when i was 16 years old.

i really like 'on a wire' as well, but not so many people did...

I found on a wire

a big dissapointment, probably because I was hoping for something to write home about mkII... i've never really got past that unfortunately

give it a chance!

it's more laid back, nice to chill out to. definitely a grower, but it's worth putting the effort in

That one about campfires

or something is a great tune.

I do keep trying to listen to it... trying to like it... honest!

I will try again tomorrow, I promise!

"Campfire Kansas"

it's what made me keep going back to the album. the rest just starts to work around it!

enjoy

pretty much

in the broadest sense.

well, i just wanted to mention that album

final?

emo is dead?

someone get the news to that boy in hollyoaks

AMERICAN HI FI!

And the video with the man dressed up as food of some kind!

does anyone know

a pop punk band from about 4 years ago. they had one song on MTV that was them playing outside a restaurant/diner, and arrows pointed at people in the crowd and said things like 'she's really only 15' and things like that.

great song. it was called 'your not alone' or something?

it was home grown

not alone

that song was amazing!

Yes!

cheers!

i've been trying to think of that for ages.

Kings of Pop was a great album.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w_-lAtIXwuQ

I used to listen to this at least once a day. Ah, to be young.

this is perfection :D

I feel like I've eaten 20 spoonfuls of sugar right now!
Oh to be 15 again.

i wish

i lived inside this video.

it always used to be on mtv2 when i came home from school. awesome memories!

2002 > 2008

"2002 > 2008"

I think that every single day.... sigh.

I hope that's

'Dressed To Kill'

We recently started a pop punk covers band, and we play that tune.

We're called "We Owe This To Summer". We're awesome

Alkaline Trio

Jimmy Eat World
American Hi-fi

And 90% of the Tony Hawks 2 soundtrack.

hmmm..

only about 3 tracks from the THPS2 soundtrack are pop-punkish. Still, good namecheck on that though! Possiby one of my favourite collection of songs ever.

tony hawks 2

what a game, what a soundtrack. as a 14 year old, i went home and played this game with a friend most days after school.

Oh fuck

How have I not done this yet?

THE MOVIELIFE!

I CAN'T FORGET

A WORD YOU SAID
AND EVERYTHING IT MEANT

Oh god yes.

AND IT FEEEEELLLLSSS LIKE A HAND GRENAAAAAADE!!!!

YOU'RE IN MY HEART

THREE THOUSAND MILES AWAY
RIGHT FROM THE START
YOU WERE A CHALLENGE TO ME.

Love The Movielife. Love pop punk.

haha

forced to like them by my best friend called Kelly.

Not sure how much love it will get around here but

the second Fall Out Boy album. When I was 16 I thought this was one of the greatest things ever.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHB5NpuVABY

Any one else admitting to this one?

I quite liked the song with the lyric

"let's play this game called 'when you catch fire, I wouldn't piss to put you out'", but not much more than that

My pop punk covers band

have the following set list at the moment:

NFG - Dressed To Kill
Green Day - Scattered
Starting Line - Best Of Me
Fenix TX - Threesome
Saves The Day - At Your Funeral

And some others I can't remember...

Still.. Saves The Day FTW

Threesome!

Phoebe Cates <3

I'm

wasting time...
going blind...
thinking she'll be mine tonight!

That's ace!

Arrrr I'm getting mega-nostalgic now (this and the nu-metal thread are responsible.)

Anyone want to go skating??? :D

Y... yeah?

By the way, if anyone fancies having some sort of American College 'Kegger' and wants us to come and play some pop punk covers... we're more than up for it

Right here, right now?

pretty please?

If only it were possible

I really am desperate to play some sort of graduation party

I'm graduating this year!

come to sheffield :D

yeah?

actual done deal

do we need some kind of school hall scenario?

Because we've got something that will do.

I'd prefer someone's living room

or a barbecue

like a post-graduation party

but a school hall would be a treat.

Is this a serious conversation by the way? I'm quite excited!

I'm not sure

the thing is a wield no actual power or organising capabilities :(, the other thing is I REALLY want this to happen now :D

If it helps

at our last practice we played a LOT of Blue Album period Weezer.

What you should do, is organise it, sell tickets, give us some money so we can actually get up to Sheffield, we play, we're awesome, everyone loves it, everyone loves us, everyone loves you, people will run around skating and yelling "FOR THE WIN", we all get drunk, someone will shag someone elses mum, the cops will come, we'll all run away and end up sleeping in a field.

Now... does that sound like a party you DON'T want to organise?

Well

That sounds like the best night of my life/American pie 5 (the Sheffield years).
I'm not sure if its the 30 hours I've been awake trying to right this essay but I might look in to this!

That one thats

got 'Fullerton' in the title.....

Oh yeah

Allister - Somewhere Down On Fullerton

Scattered

is by far my favourite Green Day song.

You are correct

Did you ever see them do it on TFI Friday? It was incredible

haha

yes i did.
i taped it.

oh memories...

but 'she' is still the best green day song

The only way to settle this

is with a good old fashioned wrestle

Scattered

is by far my favourite Green Day song.

Again, how have I missed

MIDTOWN!

god

i wish i could hate you for the rest of my life

amazing

Bodyjar!
