The title isn't meant to be boastful, merely enticing!

A guy called Nick Bentley has made a music video for me, which has taken about a year to complete because it's comprised of 12,000 photos all put together to make some beautiful stop motion. He has also made lovely videos for Field Music, Tellison, Get Cape and Sam Isaac.

People seem to like it, hence a lot of plays in not a lot of time, and I'd really appreciate it if anyone could take a few minutes to watch it. I hope you like the video, even if you don't like the song. Even better, I hope you like both!

Thanks.

^ exactly!

Love the video! The lip sync bits probably could have been a bit better but very very cool otherwise!

im guessing then

his songs are as fast as JAGuars

Guilty...

...but no-one replied to the other one so I was scared no-one had watched it, which seems such a shame for the effort gone into it! Anyway, sorry if I've done a bad thing by posting this again.

As for the lip-syncing, that's true I guess, but there were 24 photos making up every second, so I had to hold certain positions for a certain amount of photos, which isn't really possible to do perfectly unless you're a robot or something. So basically the fault lies with me, not with Nick I think!

Anyway, enjoy.

And also, I love the fact

that you've rated yourself 10/10 in your profile! Why not?! :D

Also...

...sorry to charge into my own thread AGAIN, but this song is really old now and I have new stuff where my voice is slightly more palatable. You can find that on myspace and stuff. Disclaimer over.

This is one of those lovely, but rare occasions

when I am very glad that I followed a link.

I love the song and I adored the video.

Very well done!

It's a beautiful video, obviously

But i didn't like the song. It was a bit too Daniel Bedingfield for my tastes.

really like the video

not too keen on the song though, lyrics a little painful... seriously good video though.

oh this is lovely!!

what a brilliant video.. And i really liked the song too! and i like that the lip sync isn't perfect, it adds to the quirky and disjointed quality of the way it's been shot, it really works :) xx

I like.

Tis nice.

This is very very bloody good!

Check your rating on my profile :)

great video

please tell me they're your real grandparents

I'm pleased to say

that they are. I promise you they're not as moody as they look in the shots. It had just been a long day, and they're old and suffering with arthritis!

Anyway, I'm glad you all like it. Feel free to tell your friends about it.

If anyone's interested, I'll have another video made by Nick in a few days, for my new single (If You Haven't Got Anything To Say), which is again going to be pretty fresh. You can see some photos from the shoot at www.flickr.com/daveshearn which give a hint as to what's going on.

Nostalgia

Thanks - enjoyed the video, quite liked your song which could well grow on me (he says having never recorded in his life). Where is that suburb? Made me feel homesick as I have been in Sydney for the last decade - trying to keep a finger on the Brit Pulse

It's the wonderful town of

Upton upon Severn, in Worcestershire, just south of Birmingham. Home to the world's largest map shop, a wicked sweet shop (as seen in the video), and little else. I think I'm probably Upton's biggest export, not that that's a particularly big claim. I've taken the time to add some links below so you can read about Upton to your heart's content.

Brum

Well my brother's in Kings Heath so not far from you. Thanks for the info, and apologies to everyone who's coming to this thread to talk about music...... I'm from equally anonymous Maidenhead btw....... that's it, no more irrelevance

And...

Good luck btw

Anyone else

taken a look?

yeah

I like it a lot. Both song and video. How long did it take to shoot that?!

4 days

'cause we lost some of the footage from one day and had to do an extra one. Glad you liked it!

the start of the vid is awesome

not too hot on the lyrics or the voice though, but great idea for the vid..
