Would Buckley not suit heartbreak better - Lover You Should've Come Over and the other tracks on Grace don't seem to spring with the joy of love and romance.

Yeah, but seriously he asked for what do you listen to when you're in love, not for love songs per se. And from my own experience having had both unrequited and requited love, its quite a different set of songs.

Oh and right now i suppose you could call it unrequited, although being dumped is probably a better way to describe it.

Unrequited deserves some Buckley but that's not happened to me since uni. Dumped requires Radiohead on repeat. I'd probably stick Idlewild on for unrequited. Coincidentally Pavement makes me think of heartbreak which is crap cause I like them. I hope I never have a song, I know someone who had No Distance left To Run and said he'd probably cry if I played it.

No distance left to run is right up there with love will tear us apart in the silly songs stakes. New order doing it at glastonbury was 'interesting' for me to say the least and not just because bernard was murdering the vocals...

Actually does anyone actually listen to 'love songs' when they're in love? I've never really done it, in fact when i think about it the only way that love has ever really affected what i listen to is the aforementioned dumping where i ended up listening to stereolab solidly for about two weeks because it was about the only thing i had that didnt make me think of my ex and i couldnt understand the lyrics..
