I dun have EE so I can't speak to that, but I was surprised how good Alopecia actually is... thought I was gonna hate it.

It's like I'm taking on my own personal prejudices and smashing them! one at a time... thanks for letting me share. :)

but yes, it really is brilliant. i think i still prefer elephant eyelash, but it's close, and this could change with further listening.

I find myself going back to it time and time again. I prefer it to 'Elephant Eyelash' aswell. One of the best this year, for sure.

it's utterly addictive and full of substance

it's SO fucking good. It's hard to pick a favourite but I think Good Friday and Simeon's Dilemma might be my choices for top two right now.

It's dark and moody, the arrangements fit so much better.

i am here to tell you that this album is just okay.

those two albums are consistently the most life changing and relistenable indie albums i own. I love then i a massive way. i talk about them all the time.

incidentally the girl who lent me EE hadn't heard the postal service, so i lent her Give Up in return and we spent the next two weeks thanking each other and crying with happy.

I haven't herd of them or their other album before I got this... and I'm so pleased I got it. My fav songs are These new presidents and Hollows. There isn't really a bad song though.

I love it.

although I don't own EE I must say crushed bones is clearly one of the greatest songs of all times and although I love this album nothing can compare.
Best songs? These few presidents moves me more each time and gets so stuck in my head and sky for shoeing horses under.

Also simply the "sometimes I claim to know a guy but I can't tell you what his hands look like"

for the best album of the year so far

10/10 album for me, i've had it for about 4 months and it still gets listened to constantly, I never do that with albums. In fact, the new Subtle album is the only thing I've heard since that's even come slightly close to it's brilliance.
Better than EE, I reckon.

Simeon's Dilemma is my favourite song... and Gnashville, which hasn't been mentioned yet for some reason?
