Anybody watch this last night? I was about to go to my kip when it started and I ended up watching all of it and I very much enjoyed it as well.
The first scene is a bit wank, but everything else is fucking ace.
Ooooh! Is it set in Australia?
but they didn't.
Interesting stuff, FACT FANS!!
I thought to myself I hope this film is a pile of pondering shite. But that was the end of the pondering shite.
It's just such an unnecessary line, it always makes me cringe.
It's great. Oddly, the soundtrack was the least impressive bit, I thought.
On its own it's actually amazing.
Really good movie, Guy Pearce has done a lot of good stuff since Neighbours!
Mike from neighbours to Guy Pearce - credible actor, I enjoy most of his films. I also enjoyed John Hurts turn in this film!
and its really good. Is it a Nick Cave soundtrack as well?
it's not as much cop as it should be
pretty eerie
Also, the CD was £5 which made it all the sweeter.
There are three or four songs using the same traditional lyrics on there but each is utterly different to the others. It's very clever.
Ray Winstone was awesome.
I should be more eloquent on this subject, but my scriptwriter died.
with nick cave?
Not sure what I expected, but it was just relentlessly grim and unrewarding. Good acting, but not enough explosions or tits
My entire life summed up in eight words....
a friend of mine recently accused me of only liking films that had lots of explosions in them, this might be partially true. As for the tits, I am a guy so it goes without saying!
you're only using the old Jean Luc Godard idea of 'all you need to make a movie is a girl and a gun' and doubling it.
So you can claim that you're taste in films is validated by one of cinema's greats.
Kind of...
I feel much better now! I also bought a Godard film at the weekend called weekend, but I have yet to watch it!
Very good indeed.
and thought both were great.
I think it's brilliant
The first scene is a bit wank, but everything else is fucking ace.
What's wrong with the first scene?
Ray Winstone
"Australia...what fresh hell is this?"
Ooooh! Is it set in Australia?
fair enough.
Apparently they were going to cut that line because it was shit
but they didn't.
Interesting stuff, FACT FANS!!
