Is the closest I can think of as well, Kitson is pretty much a league above everyone else on the stand up circuit. Best comedian of his generation I'd say.

I'd never heard of him, so I looked for some clips on YouTube
and ended up listening to a 2 hour podcast of his instead of writing an essay. At 3 o'clock in the morning. He's like a much, much funnier Dave Gorman. I think I shall be going to see him.

If you've m issed his shows, as most of them are sold out he's doing some £5 preview for the impotence of the fury in forest hill soon. Really worth checking out........

He is incredible
There aren't many like him, Stewart Lee would probably be the most similar. Although other comedians which are lumped together into the whole kind of "new generation" along with Kitson might be worth checking out i.e Chris Addison, Alun Cochrane, David O'Doherty. They share a lot of similar comedic attributes.

Didn't really go well. I asked him what he would do if he was invisible for a day. He started laughing and wouldn't stop, so that was that for the interview.
He then used me in a routine about bad interviews! i piped up and said 'that was me' before he completed the joke. He nver finished the punchline to the joke, thereby making me wonder what he said about me in other gigs were i wasn't their...
