which I picked up by chance. Nice scratchy guitar.

I heard Chokebore the other day

Motionless

is the only album I own, but I haven't listened to it for many years. From what I remember, it was tense with choppy guitars, but much less in the AmRep style than what was typically associated with the label. This thread is a good reminder to dig the album out.

Chokebore

were pretty cool - Anything Near Water was a great album as well. A band I was in supported them years ago, and they were quite amazing live as well.

AmRep had a few bands in a similar vein, like Cows and Today Is The Day. In fact I think I'm going to have to start pulling out a few albums myself.
