Whatever happened to The Spinto Band?

I listened to Nice & Nicely Done last night (the idea popped into my head because I'd been cooking with Pinto Beans) and it's a great pop album. Forgotten how much I enjoyed it.

Anyone know any news about a follow-up?

I'm pretty sure

Most of it is written and recorded, but I don't think they have a label to release it yet... They're playing gigs in the states at the moment, hope they come back to the UK soon!

^

nice and nicely done was a really good album, but i haven't heard it in while to be honest

Okay...

Should have posted after I found this:

Spinto Band have just finished recording their eighth full-length, Moonwink, and the Talking Heads-style indie rockers have decided to celebrate with a spring US tour. The band will begin their jaunt February 23 with a date in Nashville, and then explore the southern and western parts of the country with the Whigs before meeting up with Tally Hall to tackle the Midwest.

"After a bit of wrangling, we've finally captured some new songs," says frontman Thomas Hughes. "We will be trying out some of these beasts on our upcoming tour. It is a very exciting time for us all."

The new album promises to explore new depths of texture and production to the band's jittery, quirk-laden pop songs. No release date or label has been set yet.

Tracklist For Moonwink:
01. Later On
02. Vivian, Don't
03. Summer Grof
04. The Carnival
05. Needlepoint
06. The Cat's Pajamas
07. They All Laughed
08. Pumpkins & Paisley
09. Ain't This The Truth
10. Alphabetical Order
11. The Black Flag

8th??? Crikey

I knew they'd recorded some stuff before but had no idea they'd done that much.

They don't really remind me of Talking Heads though.

Good to know though, look forward to hearing it.

Mmmm.. I like this

Late is a great song. Patchy in places but always nice to stick on

It's not going to be their 8th album, it'll be their 5th

It's weird, the two times I've seen them they've only ever played songs from Nice and Nicely Done...
