This weekend looks like a pretty decent one, on paper at least. Yoonited go to Roman's Dirty Money Anti-Football FC, knowing that a point will pretty much give them the title. Chelsea will be without Fwank Lampard who's mourning his mother. Apparently Dider Drogba's not been invited to the funeral, just incase he tries diving in the box. Elsewhere, Birmingham, Fulham, Reading & Bolton all have tricky games where they really need to be picking up points. In the Championship Sheff Weds could be relegated today, again, although it looks unlikely, and Stoke & West Brom can go up. Bournemouth & Gillingham can both exit League One although i fancy both to pick up maximum points. The Play Offs are all decided but Carlisle, Doncaster, Forest & Southend should all pick up something today to make for an exciting last day, which will all be somewhat overshadowed when Leeds get their points overturned and go up as Champions. In League Two lost of rubbish Northern teams battle it out at the bottom and a couple more retain slim hopes of pipping Hereford to the final automatic spot. In the BSqP Altrincham need to win away to stay up. Tomorrow Celtic sneak past Rangers again to hold onto the slimmest of slim hopes that the Huns can fuck up with their games in hand.
Chelsea 1 Salford 1
Birmingham 2 Liverpool 1
City 3 Fulham 1
Sunderland 1 Boro 1
Spuds 1 Bolton 2
West Ham 1 Newcastle 3

Who're you playing, what do you think'll happen, what else is taking your fancy, what're your predictions etc etc...
I'm not sure about us winning 3-1.
The longer we play 4-4-3, and an unchanged team, the more likely it is that someone will work out how to beat us. Then again, I don't think that West Ham are necessarily the team to do that. They seem to have no inspiration or direction at the moment, and Owen got a hat-trick against them two years ago...
I'll go for a 1-1 draw.
We all hate LeedsSCUM
even though
liverpool will be thinking about wednesay, i reckon they can still beat birmingham...though torres and gerrard will probably get rested again, but the team against fulham was pretty strong!
fergy to take title today
Chelsea 0 Man.Utd 2
Birmingham 0 Liverpool 1
City 2 Fulham 1
Sunderland 0 Boro 0
Spuds 2 Bolton 0
West Ham 1 Newcastle 3
Wigan 2 Reading 2
Pompey 2 Blackburn 1
Everton 1 Villa 1
colchester's last game at layer road
:(
we WILL beat Leicester today
and we WILL stay up.
i love michael ballack
i want his strong german babies.
I just can't go to the Leicester game today
Actually so scared they will screw it up, play rubbish and Sheff Weds will sneak a 1-0 win.
Before today I had no doubts they would win today and stay up but since this morning I can't face it, I don't think I even want to be kept up to date with the score.
penalty!
what a huge kick this is.
:O
the title race is back on!
Ballack is pretty damn good.
Uh oh..
United will probably still win the title.
Impressions
5live gave me the impression that Chelsea were good for the three points today.
I hate chelsea
insane team selection
and a dreadful decision to bring O'Shea on at 1-1. Our only recognised forward comes off so let's replace our most attacking midfielder with bastard O'Shea to defend the point. Absolutely sterling work.
Now we have Rooney and Vidic injured and no momentum going into Tuesday's game. Fuck's sake.
FUCKING GET IN
YES!!
we played incredibly well today, well worth three points.
we will win the title. keep the blue flag flying high!!
Oh well...
We'll just have to win it at Wigan.
90 minutes of hell
COME ON WEDNESDAY!!!!
I believe.
FUCKING HELL.
So pissed off with Alan Wiley. Should have had a penalty for Ballack manhandling Ronaldo in the box and a clean through onside Ronaldo was given offside.
Chelsea played a lot better but we should have got at least a draw technically.
how did Giggs get 90 minutes, though
Wiley is a twat as is that linesman but Ferguson dropped a major bollock today with his team selection and substitutions. Buggering about and playing for a draw in a game of that magnitude is ridiculous.
.
how did nani last the 90!!??!
that was Nani's worst performance of the season
his decision making went to shit. But sadly, Giggs just isn't capable of cutting it in tough away games like that anymore.
We desperately need an injection of energy from somewhere. If only Saha wasn't a total flake. Surely he must be out the door at the end of the season? Just pay off his contract and get him off the wage bill.
technically
ballack should be imprisoned for assaulting cronaldo :D ah well, we wonnnnn. woot.
one nil to the boro :D
shit 1 - 1
derby tastic
I laughed at the Drogba pun
But not at the result.
west ham winning
come on keegan you said they score one we score more lets see you live up to it
2 - 0
relegation for us this time next year
DESPAIR
2-0 to City at a canter
Elano is fucking class, playing right back and still setting up the goals
martins scores 2 - 1
looks canny good for a comeback
top half finish this season now like
2 - 2 :D
west ham being swept aside by the black & white keegan jihad
Title challenge? I think so.
Seriously though, what a comeback! We'll be favourites to win now, West Ham must be shot to pieces, and Curbishley isn't the type of manager who will get the blood pumping....
Imagine KK's team talk :)
i'm pretty sure we'll win now
we were a bit shit in the first half but killing their lead right on half time will really knock their confidence and kev'll send them out all guns blazing.
Owen to win it.
Leicester 1-1 Sheff Wed
Huge second half for us.
COME ON THE OWLS!!!
steliooooooossssssssssss
come on scousers, stick two past birmingham...do it for the north west!
fuck
1-1:(
play-off chat...
Here's hoping Palace keep it going and get a winner second half...1-1 ht and with Wolves losing its a huge chance for us...
Umm, not really the right place for this but also COME ON LONDON IRISH! 21-15 down against Toulouse...
Rafa couldn't give two shits about the league could he?
9 changes from midweek
surely the FA should take some action against this, allows Birmingham to drag themselves out of it and puts us right back in it.
what can they say realistically?
i'm not sure
it's quite clear that they wont do anything, i'm just pissed off at how this afternoon is going, didn't liverpool do the same thing last season against fulham?
scrap that
this afternoon is now becoming quite satisfactory.
liverpool are going to win this
3/4 - 2 aren't they?
i hope so
just need alves to stick another in, not likely though, we haven't scored more than 2 goals in a game all season.
oh fuck off
fuck off, fuck off, fucking own goal.
united are fucking screwed.
absolutely and utterly fucked. no rooney, no vidic, we have no chance for wednesday.and god knows which west ham team will show up on saturday. the team that barely squeaked by derby county, or the team that beat us at upton park earlier this season.
p.s. what the fuck was ferguson playing at putting o'shea in for anderson?
Nah, we'll be OK...
But I'm going to be at ATP for the final day of the season...!
3-2!!!
As soon as I start slagging off Keanur's subtitutions the sub always scores.
Hahahahaha
How did we lose that? What a mental match!!!
Fuck me
Another great result at Leicester.
:D
the 2 goals were really fucking good, but our defending was Derby-esque
Apart from ten minutes
at the start of the second half, we were really good yesterday. I still think that United will win the title, but honour is satisfied.
Bring on the scum on Wednesday!
yers!
Wednesday won! in your face, Mandaric!
Well done, mate!
Nice to see that win yesterday. I hope you can beat Norwich on the last day. We've been in the position of having a winnable-looking home game on the last day needing a win to stay up, it can be harder than having a tricky away game, especially with a big crowd, as i'm sure you'll get for that one. I'm not sure i'd like to see Blackpool or Cov go, Blackpool certainly wouldn't deserve it, i'd maybe even like to see Southampton stay up, too, and i think they'll get something at West Brom tomorrow. I think you need a win, because with Sheff Utd, Watford & Ipswich all still in with a last shout of the Play Offs anything could happen at St Marys, The Britannie or Bloomfield Rd. You'd also probably fancy Coventry for a point at Charlton.
It's beginning to look like Avram Grant is a football genius!
He's looking like a master of mind games, whereas United look like they're starting to crack. I can't see United losing against West Ham, or Wigan, and i'm not sure Chelsea will beat a Newcastle side who nowadays tend to save their only result of the season from stifling Chelsea at St James', but there's no doubt that the team who normally bottles it is the one who the pressure gets to. It's almost always the opposition manager who lacks the mental toughness to go toe-to-toe with Taggart. When United get knocked out of the Chumps League on Tuesday it will be only one win in five, although i fully appreciate that's only a statistic and what that can be quite easily dismissed. What annoys me is that people wax lyrical about how great United have been this year but dismiss Chelsea. Even after all the flack, and after changing their manager, and having to cope with a lot more injuries than United, Chelsea are joint top of the league and with one leg in the European Cup final, FFS! Add to that the fact that they only really lost the League Cup final because of an inexperience tactical move by Grant and you've got the FACT, not opinion, that he could quite easily have won the treble in his first season at the club. If he's not manager of the year then there's something wrong. He's made ONE signing - Anelka (assuming that Ivanovic & Di Santo were Abramovic & Arnersen signings respectively). I think he's done a sterling job, and i think Chelsea are every bit as good a team as United, both in terms of results, and even performances.
Well...
I don't really agree...
The League Cup Final wasn't so good, was it? I think the stick Grant has got from all corners is completely unfair though, judge him at the end of the season...
I don't think he could quite easily have won the treble in his first season...he could have, but I think easily isn't really the right word.
People dismiss Chelsea's style of football more than anything, they certainly don't play as "good" football as United or Arsenal, but in the end results are what matters, and you can't argue with results.
I agree, but i think it's a bit of a farce that after a 38-game season it will probably be decided o
I know it's a level playing field for all, but it's still a bit of a cop-out. A three-legged Play Off would be much better, and would prove who was actually the better side.
...on goal difference.
I'm just disappointed that we have resorted to anti-football.
Especially against Barca, I think they were there for the taking on Tuesday, yet we played for the 0-0 from the off. Perhaps we were so dead set on 0-0 that Ronaldo missed on purpose...We have been scared of playing football the last few games, and with the finish line in sight it has started to cost us. I think Fergie and the players will be shitting it now as one lucky goal, bad decision or mistake from a player could cost either of the two trophies.
The style of play Fergie has developed in Europe is starting to permeate our game at the moment. Though, sometimes you have to give credit to the opposition sides...
I think United will win on Tuesday, but i think it's be hairy(sp?)...
Barca will definitely score. The rest will depend on Rooney's fitness and Ronaldo & Tevez stepping up, which i'm sure they'll do. Someone in the press pointed out that United have brough three 0-0 away draws back to Old Trafford in the competition, and have gone out on all three occasions, against Monaco, Madrid and one other that i can't recall, although i'm not sure this statistic is anything more than the press clutching at straws. I think Fergie called it right at the Nou Camp. Had they played expansive football Messi & Deco would've ripped them to shreds and the second leg might've been a non-entity. I still maintain that Ronaldo making up for his penalty miss, and United winning the trophy are headlines waiting to be written, and these things tend to happen sometimes.
Aye, pretty much agree.
The old man and I were saying that a 0-0 away draw, on the fact of it is a good result, but it's not a bad result for Barca either. They now know what they have to do at Old Trafford. Score. It leaves too much to chance for my liking...we have to win, but Barca only need a score draw. They could get an early goal, or really at any stage and it throws a spanner in the works. On the other hand, we could completely dominate the game, yet only be 1-0 up, then a bit of Messi magic, mistake, bad decision and it's fucked up.
We never do things the easy way...would rather play Liverpool in the final if we win on Tuesday. That said, losing to the bin dippers in the final would be unbearable.
Oh Roque...........
.........................................
Seriously, so much <3
Now for Everton to thrash Villa
Preferably, say, 20-0
all i have to say is
c'mon the hoops! that dramatic win has seen them back in play for the title - it's all up hill from here.
how rankers
can claim it wasnt a penalty is beyond me
