I bought it with ...Young Lovers and In The Wee Small Hours.
But this is a really standout album. If you have a basic interest in him, but you're not throbbing over his HUGE songs that are on adverts every ten seconds, you should listen to it.
Its PERFECT.

I like..
also the first album he made with Antonio Carlos Jobim

Doyou have 'Sinatra & Company' as well?
The second side of course contains covers of songs like 'Leaving on a Jet Plane' and stuff by John Denver and Barry Ryan. Not to everyone's taste!
I know of it...
But don't own a copy, I take that it's worth getting for the Jobim songs?
Definitely.
Arrangements by Deodato. It's not a patch on the first album, but it's worth hearing as it's got a slick sound that is rather seductive and 'Wave' features Frank's lowest recorded note!
I agree.
It's stunning. Little comes close in terms of sheer perfection in pop music. One of the greatest albums of all time that showcases some of Nelson Riddle's best big band arrangements.
Young Lovers has that great small group sound - much more intimate and of course pretty much flawless. Predominantly arranged by George Sivaro but conducted by Nelson Riddle.
Wee Small Hours is another incredible achievement by Sinatra and Riddle. One of the first concept albums and crushingly sad.
You Make Me Feel So Young
is a standout on an incredibly consistantly brilliant album. Great time of year for it too..
I was listening to this last night.
It is rather excellent.
