I'm looking for some new projects to get involved in. I play all genre's, combining progressive stuff like odd meters with latin/afro stuff. I'm adaptable, playing in punk bands, oceansize atmosphericy stuff, a tea dance trio, indie and the last thing i was involved with was a modern jazz trio (hear john scofield/medeski martin and wood). been playing for over 10 years which is nice.

yeah so if you're interested, that would be cool

...cheers

Talented yet sympathetic drummer required...

Weirdly enough, I was just popping in to post a "drummer wanted" thread. I'm a drummer myself, but have converted because I got a bit tired of it. I still play here and there, but not so much. Anyway, I have this band on the go, and we do so require a drummer. Basically, it is loud and fairly abrasive. Along the lines of Refused, Lack, Thank God and Charlottefield. Other (more melodic) influences come in the shape of Unhome, Arab Strap and so on. If this sounds of any interest to you, I'd be very grateful.
You can check out www.myspace.com/whalesdonttalkmuch, although the track on there is quite old and no longer really represents the bands style. Still, worth a go I reckon.
Thank a lot,
Paul

We're just starting out and those are demo tracks left nice and loose for a drummers input. We like Shellac, The Jesus Lizard, Mclusky, Battles etc. You'll get the idea :)

London... where's that?

I'm based in S. Yorks which, for music, is not the saucepan of talent that they'd have you believe. Anyway yeah, I'm prepared to travel but within a moderate area.

thanks for your replies

cheers
