Homogenic would be number one in my book, then Post and Vespertine - but that's just me! I think Post is her most accessible, her best song is DEFINITELY Hyperballad, no questions asked.
as when I first heard 'vespertine'. I'd never really had much to do with Bjork post-sugarcubes and then I read the 'Dis top 66' which put that album as number 1. The best album released in their lifetime! Wow! Better than Radiohead, ISIS and everyone...
Pagans Poetry! Unison! Hidden Place! It's all incredible... it's definitely her 'prettiest' album... it contrasts harshly with Medúlla, which I think is pretty dark and dirty... all squelchy human-beatboxes and stuff - not one for beginners!
And I have been totally blocked about her since the eighties, then recently I saw a Bjork tribute cd that had some of my favorite artists on it and I thought well maybe I'm wrong about her.
I think the fact the fact that vespertine managed to be both wintry and detached but also on closer examination emotional and full of warmth, puts it above the others as m album of choice.
Erm

Homogenic
is amazing. i bought it recently and i didn't know if i would like it. But it is superb in my opinion.
I've never been so disappointed in my life
as when I first heard 'vespertine'. I'd never really had much to do with Bjork post-sugarcubes and then I read the 'Dis top 66' which put that album as number 1. The best album released in their lifetime! Wow! Better than Radiohead, ISIS and everyone...
So I put it on. It's ok, not too bad. Ok. Oh.
But
Pagans Poetry! Unison! Hidden Place! It's all incredible... it's definitely her 'prettiest' album... it contrasts harshly with Medúlla, which I think is pretty dark and dirty... all squelchy human-beatboxes and stuff - not one for beginners!
maybe that's where I'm going wrong
I like dark and dirty!
I was a Sugarcubes fan
And I have been totally blocked about her since the eighties, then recently I saw a Bjork tribute cd that had some of my favorite artists on it and I thought well maybe I'm wrong about her.
What am I missing, why is she so amazing?
Sincerely,
Bjork Dork
You'd be better off
writing 'Bjork Berk'.
This is not an insult but just pointless pedantry.
1. Homogenic
2. Vespertine
3. Medulla
Post gets minus a million points for It's Oh So Quiet.
^This
Post would probably be my favourite album of all time, if it wasn't completely marred by that pox of a song.
For me, her best albums are:
1) Homogenic
2) Post
3) Medulla
4) Vespertine
5) Debut
6) Volta
Thing is,
deep down you love It’s Oh So Quiet.
I had it on tape when I was 10,
admittedly. I must've worn it out.
For me
1)Vespertine
2)Homogenic
3)Medulla
I think the fact the fact that vespertine managed to be both wintry and detached but also on closer examination emotional and full of warmth, puts it above the others as m album of choice.
