GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd written this all out and the fucking thing crashed. I'm soooo pissed off.
Chelsea beat Man United, Man United act like children.
Everton and Villa saw a great last 15 minutes.
Fulham live on after a terrific win at Man City.
West Brom can go up tonight against Southampton, Saints really need the points though after Wednesday's win against Leicester.
Carlisle continue to wobble as Doncaster and Forest win. Leeds are in the playoffs whilst Bournemouth live on after their 6th win on the spin. Amazing stuff. Cheltenham and Crewe remain vulnerable.
MK Dons secure the League 2 title, Hereford go up after beating Brentford. Mansfield need to beat Dagenham next week to stay up - the Daggers winning at Darlington Saturday.
Hendon miss out on the play offs after losing 2-1 at home to Wealdstone. Probably a game to far but even so, a hell of a season. 7th place and 2 cup finals rounding off a centenary season that exceeded all expectations. Ramsgate take the last play off spot after beating Boreham Wood 5-0, a result that sends Wood down.
Finally, congratulations to Ronaldo and Fabregas for winning the PFA awards last night. Worthy winners.
Errrrmmmm
Spurs secure the services of Modric for around 20m...
Chelsea completely outplay Man Utd
Rio Ferdinand in 'no better than John Terry and in fact probably worse' shocker!
Spurs secure the services of Modric for around 20m.
£15m
of the £25m they've budgeted for selling Berbatov.
Excellent signing
by Spurs that...
Ferdinand acted like an utter cunt - but until he does it on a weekly basis there's no way he's worse than Terry.
maybe...
but thought Terry was impressivly well behaved on saturday, especially when Rio was trying to kick off with mikel...
Price for Modric could to £20m by all accounts and will hopefully persuade berbs to stay...
Terry did do well on Saturday
in all honesty. But I wonder if he'd have accepted the decision had the ref given a penalty when Carrick went over towards the end.
I have no idea what happened with Rio. He has looked so much more mature this season until Saturday...
Thing is Terry was well behaved
but the game went Chelsea's way so he had no real reason not to be.
Modric could be an awesome signing.
but he could be rubbish. who knows?
Sheffield Utd travel to Southampton next weekend - if they win, then they could sneak in the playoffs. (and wednesday will probably stay up). If they lose, they could relegate wednesday. Most of their fans want them to lose.
are there any more of these 'considering throwing the game' scenarios this season?
Modric could well be the next Rebrov...
here's hoping not...
that's beause most of their fans
are what's technically known as 'cunts'
'MON THE OWLS
Don't even get me started
What could have been a great day at Lewes was more like a wake. Steve King was in tears, the exodus of players has already begun and after a shameful display by one of the directors Carole had to drag me away from screaming at him.
What happened?
Sacked Steve King
After winning the league because a new Brighton consortium led by some muppet who's sole managerial experience is Horsham YMCA and probably Football Manager wants to have a crack himself.
Most of the players will follow Steve King out the door, some having left already.
Shameful.
Welcome to
Non-league football :(
We'll be back down with you
in two years.
I hope not,
this is a shocking decision though. Almost sounds like something we'd do. Looking forward to a trip to the Dripping Pan next season after we somehow stayed up. Weird game this weekend, I'd quite happily have seen us lose so Alty could have stayed up though.
When are the fixtures out?
It's almost a Creepy Crawley
thing to do :)
Not even close...
yet.
Ours are usually the second week of July
Would have thought yours would be the week before, or possibly last week of June at a push. We've got to wait for the Conference to change the rules for relegation, half a dozen clubs to go bust, the FA to mess up placing clubs in various leagues and so on before they can think about fixtures.
Good piece here

Second story down
Full marks for Ballack
ignoring Drogba during that break in play. Also full marks for Chelsea captain John Terry doing absolutely nothing about it.
it was great wasn't it!
i didn't realise it happened till i got home and watched motd. Although i did hear the whole matthew harding lower behind me telling drogba to 'fuck off' because he's a 'cunt'
I have noticed that this "crashing" thing happens a lotand Celtic beat Rangers again.
lot and Celtic beat Rangers again.
I'm at home today
my connection at home is utter turd.
Of course, Celtic have kept alive their title hopes. I wish the big Premiership games were as good as the Old Firm games always are.
Man Utd have acted like such children
As much as I think they probably deserve to win thr title, I'd really like to see them fuck up now. Bunch of wankers.
Full marks to Celtic yesterday.
the latest claims are that Evra was being racially abused by Chelsea staff
i expect Chelsea fans will cry 'bullshit' and Man U fans will be raging for a points deduction
Nah
Man Utd's board and management have already distanced themselves from the claim, which says alot really
hmm
well i call six of one and half a dozen of the other. there's only one course of action the FA can take
relegate them both... *sage nod*
I thought we saw the true Chelsea & United on Saturday.
There's no doubting the fact that United are a brilliant side, but when it comes to the really big games i'm not sure they've got any more to them than anyone else. Every member of their first team squad is good enough for the level, obviously, but they still only have one real matchwinner, and when they don't play him, or when he goes missing in the really big games (which he does, lets be honest) they're half a team. It was also proved yet again, that despite the fact that he looks to have had a great season, Ferdinand's lost without Vidic, just look at their record without him. I don't know how anyone who watched the game on Saturday could say anything other than Chelsea were brilliant and United were non-existant.
I don't think you can base
too much on one game where the home team needed to win and the away team could settle for a draw. Plus the top scorers for Man Utd were on the bench.
that wasn't Chelsea's fault.
and it's not as if they'd have done anything anyway, the game was almost entirely played in United half.
surely thats part of the point
without ronaldo and tevez, they're shite. Whereas chelsea dont rely on one or two players
Plus, the counter to that would be that Chelsea were without Fwank Lampard.
and pat lampard.
^ Hilarious
I love it when people's mums die!
typical cunty response from a spurs fan
dick
sorry.
I had to counteract the bizarre sad feeling i had when I heard Grant's tribute to her (srsly).
It's a bit harsh to mock the dead.
but i thought the Chelsea players celebrations were a bit, erm, shit. I'm not sure why, but a load of overpaid morons raising a quickly knocked up replica shirt in the air, no thanks, i thought it was a bit awful.
I don't think there is much more they can do
if they choose to mark it some way.
Chelsea do seem quite good at
crass tributes/acknowledgments
tevez has been their worst player recently!
bullshit
giggs has been disasterous, and as much as i like him Park hasnt been much better. same with scholes.
they're not shite though are they
Chelsea didn't do that great when Terry was out for a while, same with Drogba.
shite was a bit of an exageration
but chelsea have played large portions of the seaosn without massive players and are still challenging. without vidic and ronaldo united often look clueless whereas chelsea never rely massively on any few players
they're joint-top of the league!
After missing most of their best players for large parts of the season. United have been almost injury-free ALL season.
shall we just combine as one
to save us both typign the same thing out every time?
blackloser?
twee_headline would probably be more PC!
i dont really think that blackloser
is un-pc. i could be black for all you know, and maybe i just lost a game of risk or monopoly.
In a fortnight's
time if the title goes to Old Trafford it will be because Manchester United have deserved it over 38 games. Likewise if it goes to Stamford Bridge it will be because Chelsea have deserved it over 38 games. End of.
^ this
It's getting like seeing the whinges about being relegated with 50 points.
Our best performance of the season.
I was so nervous about the penalty I could hardly look, now I really wish we hadn't given away all those late equalizers, damn you Emile Heskey.
At least the pressure is on them now and they look like they might crack.
Man Utd prove that it's not only Chelsea that are sore losers and Ferguson needs to shut up about the referee's decisions because he got all the major ones right.
It's a good point.
That was the first penalty given against them in the league today. Had Carrick got any more hand on it he'd have been holding the thing and Taggart still moans. They wonder why they're the most hated club in the world.
are they still the most hated?
i don't think so...
hate has move don so much these days, it's no longer a man utd only thing. i think i detest chelsea and arsenal more, with united a close 3rd and liverpool just behind in 4th just because of their fans' attitude.
There's so many choices these days
How can you have just one? All of the top three are equally detestable for differing reasons.
*Top Four
Liverpool less so at the moment
They're amusing me with the off the pitch stuff. I'm sensing potential for a new Newcastle here.
nah
as long as the phrase 'one of those great European nights in Anfield' exists they'll always be hated.
Fair point.
I forget they're capable of winning "European" games.
Ferguson is such a geriatric, ruddy faced, wine dirnking jizz stain
if he sends that bellpiece queiroz out to explain away a awful utd performance one more time....il be on him like chelsea groundstaff on a misplaced warm down
Is that a promise?
its as good as done
JUST EXPLAIN YOUR TEAM WERE OUTPLAYED YOURSELF YOU SILLY OLD GIT
Yeah, the fucking wine drinker
A light Pinot Grigio
does go quite well with prawns
i know, what a ponce
(after geriatric and ruddy faced i was running out of things i knew about alex pretty fast)
Racehorse owner?
sigh... Ferguson is such a geriatric, ruddy faced, wine drinking
racehorse-owning, hairdryer-impersonating jizz stain
anyone can now feel free to add descriptive abuse
at their leisure
best British manager of the last 25 years...
Steve Gritt.
im not disputing that
wayne rooney is a fantastic striker, but id still like to see him get run over
What do you mean he got all the major decisions right?
You idiot. Only if you ignore the fact that Man U should have had a penalty for Ballack wrestling Ronaldo in the box, a clean through Ronaldo being given offside when he was clearly on, and an innoccuous ball to arm form Carrick resulting in a penalty. Idiot.

Even if Man Utd win the league now, I'll still consider our campaign a success.
Considering the injuries we've had and the change of manager etc.
not sure if Abramovich will feel the same
but it's his fault really.
For insisting the club buy 'galacticos' like Shevchenko & Ballack.
For bringing in youth development staff & scouts that undermind his mangers transfer policices.
For selling guns.
He might if they win
the CL.
i'll consider it boring
deeeeeply boring
Wish us luck as you wave us goodbyeeeee...
It's almost pointless wondering what the fucking fucking fuck was that second half. We are Leicester City. Just as it looks like happy days are here again, we have immense capacity to find new ways of shooting ourselves in the foot. And it's the acceptance, the implicit belief among plenty of people that "it's no problem, with Holloway and Mandaric we'll come good eventually", the way Holloway has been going on about being one win away from safety since March because he's quotable, the way Mandaric seems to think if he didn't take a lead role in the club's public face at all times the protests would make Paris 1968 look like a lot of fuss about nothing.
hmm...
but just remember if you do go down, think how much you are softening the blow for us poor Derby fans. you should take some solace in that.
Result between Man u and Chelsea
keeps Arsenal in with a chance of the title just need Keegan to beat Chelsea and West ham to Beat Man U like they normally do to take it into the last day where anything can happen :).
Arsenal u18's lost to Villa in the playoff semi final which is disappointing.
Also interesting to see that no
Chelsea players made the PFA team of the year and Arsenal had the most/
Full team -
James
Sagna
Clichy
Vidic
Ferdinand
Ronaldo
Young
Gerrard
Fabregas
Adebayor
Torres
Would people have picked differently? Also I'm suprised Sky don't organise some post season competition between the top 4 European league's team of the year. It could be hyped up to fuck and make loads of money.
No individual at Chelsea really shone this year
so its no surprise. There are Chelsea players who I'd say are all-round better players than some of those on the team, but one the merit of the last nine months, I'd say thats a fair pick
The Chelsea player I would have had
would have been Essien - probably for Gerrard.
^Most definitely this.
Essien > Gerrard by an absolute mile this season and forever.
I couldn't argue witht the rest of the team except maybe Evra for Clichy.
I'm a bit surprised Gerrard's in there.
I mean not surprised exactly but I don't think he's had a great season. I'd argue someone like Barry (although not as good a player as Gerrard) has probably caught my eye more...
Gael Clichy? WTF.
My team would be pretty much the same, but with Lescott at left-back OBVIOUSLY, Flamini instead of Gerrard, and maybe with Santa Cruz or Berbatov instead of Adebayor. Honourable mentions to Rob Green, Richard Dunne, David Bentley, Martin Laursen, Gareth Barry, Olof Mellberg, Gabby Agbonlahor, Phil Jagielka, Joseph Yobo
