I thought the support band, Kontakte, were great. The first song really was quite 'awesome'. Huge swathes of noise with a thumping backbeat. Ones to look out for.
M83 were fantastic. I remember seeing a review of Before the dawn heals us that it was like electronica with the energy of a rock band, and it really was like that. The new songs did sound especially great.
when they were earbleedingly loud it was incredible, but i found it hard to engage otherwise. i was really tired yesterday though, and i was surrounded by absolute fucknuts which didn't help. one them kept shouting "WOOO!" at every buildup, and at one point they were discussing - via the medium of TALKING LOUDLY OVER A SONG - how rude it is to shout out requests at a band. GOOD ONE GUYS.
i enjoyed it. the new songs sounded good, although i swear that she mimed the vocals to two of them (We Own The Sky and Highway of Endless Dreams), but sang live for the rest. could be wrong though - maybe it was just shitloads of effects on her vocals.
were stuck next to a group of twats who, it seemed, were celebrating one of their party having just found out he was to become a dad. Because they repeated this a million times. While the band were playing. And kept clinking their bottles together in a "Cheers!" type scenario. Seriously, just go to the pub.
Oh and I thought Kontakte were dire but there we are.
though stupidly I decided to stand by the wall near the entrance as I can get panic attacks in super busy places and ended up being squashed into the wall.
Thankfully no panic attacks followed.
It says around 9 or 10 on last fm.

YES
What time you getting there? Am going straight from work

I forgot how expensive Cargo was for booze :(
It was a fine show, and I giot to do some reverse stalking
Kontakte were a bit generic and dull, but had their moments.
M83 were great though. Nice versions of the new songs, graveyard Girl especially.
