Pretty uninspiring additions in my opinion.
There is still the third (carling/Tuborg/Bishop's Finger) stage to be announced, which will probably be about a month from now.

Well seeing as though there are only
about 5 bands announced for the main stage on sunday, I wouldn't rule them out. Although I'm not sure how high up the bill they would play 3rd, 4th?
Looking through the list again there are a few good picks that I haven't seen before: Seasick Steve, Yeasayer, so I guess it isn't too bad.

that stage though is rubbish. Couldn't they just shove Justice in as headliners and book some better stuff like Danger or Boys Noize or something instead. It's pretty sad when they've had awesome stuff like Soulwax, Vitalic and !!! on there in the last couple of years.
There's some alright stuff hovering around the bottom of the radio one stage now. I won't mind seeing Santogold, Make Model, Be Your Own Pet, Mystery Jets and Yeasayer. The third stage should make up for things though. And motherfucking Rage Against the Machine \m/

the lock up stage
has a very strong line-up for the first time in years. Although Pennywise should headline over Gallows surely?
The dance tent is disappointing. Good acts, but in the past it has been much stronger.
I don't think so.............
Pennywise peaked in about 1994-1996, they've played Reading so many times.
Gallows are a band on the up, they deserve to headline.
But what's the basis for that?
I want it to happen. but I don't want to believe it unless there's solid grounds for the rumour.

It's been shit for years......
2001/2002 or whatever year it was that The Get Up Kids played it was the last decent year.
I remember Blink 182 being halfway down the bill for it in 1996.
It seems to be Pennywise/SOIA/Alkaline Trio/Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake on a perma loop, the same bands that were playing it a decade ago or more.
Where are The Bronx, Fucked Up, Dead Hearts, Gay for Johnny Depp et al?
Even the better Fat/Epitaph bands like The Lawrence Arms, No Trigger, Avail Strike Anywhere, or Dillinger Four would be welcome, actually Dillinger Four would be VERY welcome.
