My Brightest Diamond last night

was amazingly good - my brightest diamond on guitar + string quartet (who were the reasons from clare and the reasons). The set was flawless, including a cover of prince's when doves cry accompanied by a little beatbox!

My brightest diamond is playing again tonight along with clare and the reasons and another band. Its at the luminaire and only £7 - a veritable bargain. If she is anywhere near as good as last night, it will be worth the trip to kilburn....

Were there any other DISers there??

Glad you enjoyed it

I'm looking forward to the Luminaire show even more now!

i was there

and I liked that Prince cover immensely

Luminaire show

was excellent. Really enjoyed it. Love Clare and the Reasons too.

Hurray

for my brightest diamond :) Its been too long since I went to such a small gig and I had forgotten how great they can be.

small gigs >>> big gigs

although I did go and see Queen once and they were very good.
Oh and Take That. And Radiohead many times. And AC/DC and REM. And The Cure.
And Paul McCartney, Bjork and David Bowie at Glastonbury.
But apart from AC/DC, Queen, REM, Radiohead, Take That, David Bowie, Macca, Bjork and The Cure small gigs are better.

woo

it was quite amazing... the slaughtered lamb is an amazing venue and the strings sounded amazing..

Disappear was perfect, and the new songs sound pretty great "stripped down".

all over too soon - have to wait for the next one now... i'd so have gone to the Luminaire aswell but alas exams etc.
