I saw Cage the Elephant at the Camden Crawl a couple of weeks ago and thought they were the best live band I've seen for the first time in ages. Any one else seen them? If not who have you seen recently?

I saw Frightened Rabbit, Sukilove and the Stage Sages at the Windmill last night. I really liked Sukilove and the Stage Sages but Frightened Rabbit left me a little underwhelmed given how much hype they're getting.
I was there too ..
and I have to agree 100%. Sukilove ruled, Stage Sages were better than they sounded on Myspace but Frightened Rabbit were pretty bog-standard indie as far as I could see and will therefore probably be huge.

are very enjoyable, but are closest to CSS with mad percussion. They also have several sort of Pink Floydy psychedelic wig out numbers. Entertaining, but not the finished article yet.

Forward! Russia were pretty good minus the crowd.
I must say I saw Simone White last week, she did a very small acoustic set at The Enterprise. It was beautiful. She has a fantastic voice. I was rather surprised.
For me at The Crawl Tellison were my favourite as were White Lies.

best new band i've heard recently are Tessellators, i wrote a nice review about them on last.fm and they were so pleased about it they're sending me a copy of their EP con gratis :D
