Just got back from this festival at Camber Sands this weekend. Spent 48 hours with John Frusciante of Red Hot Chili Peppers fame. It has taken me the last 48 hours to internalise how ridiculous this is...He's really into techno now (tho not minimal - he did NOT like Gui Boratto) and played lots of Weezer. Did anyone else go?

...spent an evening chatting to an American guy at an ATP (Autechre?) a while back. It was only the following day he found out it was John Frusciante.

I wish Frusciante
would crowbar some of his influences into the Chilli Peppers one day. He rated Autechre as a big inspiration on his collab record with Josh Klinghoffer.
it was pretty good actually
though all of the venues did indeed smell of the great unwashed. I particularly enjoyed Luke Vibert, Venetian Snares, Dopplereffekt and Plaid. I'd probably go again...Also, just had an email from my mate saying that John's mate Josh was in fact Josh Klinghoffer.
