The Walter Schreifels-led, early decade post-hardcore supergroup Rival Schools have reformed for a series of live shows, some of which will see them visit the UK this summer.
Good news II: the band will also release a new record later this year, though no precise details have emerged just yet. So, for now, those dates:
June
11 London King’s College
13 Donington Download Festival
17 Birmingham Academy II
18 Leeds Cockpit
19 Glasgow King Tut’s
20 London Radio One Rock Show Session at Maida Vale
21 Portsmouth Wedgewood Rooms
More news on the album when we get it – look out for DrownedinSound to run a feature on the band and others of their early-2000s ilk very, very soon.

ITS IN THE FUCKING TITLE!!!!
I wear their t shirt to bed
It has a hole in it that was sustained during Less Than Jake at Reading 2002
For some reason
loads of people have a Rival Schools t-shirt. I know I do, though I haven't worn it in 6 years.
They were never that popular were they? Or were they?
eeee
awesome!
just booked kings :)
oh noes, this is right near the Night Marchers date. :'(
Oooo!
This is good, very good indeed. *wets pants*
schreifels ain't it.
no-one does their research around here.
thank god you're here to save us tho!
everybody gets one
So up for this
Definitely going to the Leeds date, might even go to London or Portsmouth as well.
no way
how wierd.
should be at Leeds
I bought a ticket
for Kings college in London when it was first announced because I shit my pants and thought it was a one off show. Now I realise I could probably have gone somewhere a lot close to home! (I live in Stoke, oops).
No Belfast :(
Still, a new record is fairly amazing news.
I wonder...
if it is just the unreleased record that has been floating around the interwebzes for years?
London has sold out on See
but there some left on Ticketmaster, unsurprisingly.
Nonononono
I don't know if I'm available yet, it can't sell out yet!
