I think this has been done before but I can't find the thread. You can probably guess what's coming next. What is the best Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds album?

I'm relatively new to them
but I think the new one 'Dig, Lazarus, Dig!!!' is amazing. I also have Murder Ballads, which is so haunting and brilliant. I've just ordered Tender Prey and Let Love In too, think Tender Prey is often considered one of his best.
personally
I think "No More Shall We Part" is the best, but you can't go wrong with any of these:
Let Love In
Abbatoir Blues/Lyre Of Orpheus
Tender Prey
The Boatman's Call
Henry's Dream
Murder Ballads
No More Shall We Part
Tender Prey
Henry's Dream
Let Love In
^
thanks for all the replys. really i would like to know what I should get out of:
Tender Prey
Murder Ballads
Boatman's Call
tender prey
....
Tender Prey - Oldest of the three and rawer, has 'The Mercy Seat' which is just awesome.
Murder Ballads - has duets with Kylie and Pj Harvey, more folky, very moody, great.
Boatman's Call - Led by vocals and piano, a subtle album, much more sparse than any other NCATBS albums, beautiful. Worth getting for 'Into My Arms' and 'Are You The One That I've Been Waiting For?'
LET LOVE IN!!!!!!! >
awesome.
yay! the weekly 'which Nick Cave album is best?' thread! ;)
by the way, where should i start with Mogwai.....
Having struggled with old Nick
...for many years, I finally got into him with the best of which came out about ten years ago. And after that it all sort of clicked into place. Devoured the rest of the albums. Of which the best, to my cloth ears are:-
The Boatmans Call
No More Shall We Part
Let Love In
Murser Ballads would probably give Darth Vader nightmares. But it's very good. And not without a wry humour running through it.
they're all good..
I'll just give a shout out to Abattoir Blues because it looks as if nobody has yet.
other than that: the boatman's call gets my vote
Abbatoir Blues/Lyre Of Orpheus
It's his best by a mile.
