thursday is part of the weekend, right?

this evening is my best mate's birthday dinner. we are going to a cheapish restaurant i've always wanted to visit because the decor looks cool (http://www.lmnt.co.uk/lmnt.php). a couple of people i haven't seen in ages should be there, which'll be nice. and i got him a birthday present too - my friend is a policy advisor in whitehall, so i've got him the box set of 'Yes Minister' which i think he'll quite like. hope so anyway!

friday: staying in.

saturday is my mate's birthday blow out, at bars around shoreditch. it will be extremely exuberant - the man is like a robot. no way will i keep up - he's a dancing machine! also a friend is coming to stay for the weekend and she is a mental.

sunday: really looking forward to this: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=44702255120

is it bank holiday weekend? if sunny, go tramping around epping forest.

you?

I'm suprised you've got the nerve....

hang on, I've forgotten whose side I'm on.

I wrote it down somewhere...

You're on MY side!

The right hand side of the bed is mine, you selfish fuck!

WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE _VIKRAM THREAD?

oops caps, sorry, i might just read all of that for the weekend

I'm going to:

aPatT
Health

not necessarily in that order.

anyone else coming? See you at the eel parade!

More info for those that are coming:

Ely's Eel Day
3 May

Location: Jubilee Gardens, Ely

Eels, eels and more eels will be the flavour of the day on Saturday 3rd day for Ely's Annual Eel Day. Starting at 10.30 am from Cross Green (adjacent to the Cathedral) Ely's 'Ellie the Eel' will be heading the carnival like procession along part of the City's Eel Trail Heritage Walk. Everybody is welcome to join in the procession. The procession is headed by Ely's Samba Band who will lead the line down to the Waterside and into Jubilee Gardens where a whole host of eel related activities will be held. Also included in this year's procession will be our 12 visiting Town Criers in all their finery, as part of Ely's annual Town Crier's Competition.

Along with a full programme of arena events including musical performances, children's theatre and historical re-enactments there will be lots of family participation opportunities. Can you beat the East Cambs record for Eel Throwing? Based on the wellie throwing idea, children and parents alike can battle it out to see who can throw the handmade eel socks the furthest. Other 'eel related' games are also on offer as are puppet making and pottery workshops.

Ely Lions, who have once again worked closely with East Cambridgeshire District Council and ADeC to bring Ely this annual event, will be out in force helping steward the procession as well as manning their traditional Tombola. There will be displays from the Environmental Agency including a tank of real eels! Local eel catcher, Peter Carter will be on hand to show you all his catching equipment and there will be an opportunity to see how eel baskets are made and have a go at basket weaving yourself.

Experience life in years gone past with a living encampment showing the trades and wares of the time. Children have the chance to try on period costumes and play period games.

There will be the chance to taste smoked and jellied eels as well as more conventional forms of food on sale including a hog roast.

.

Thursday: Watch movies during the day. Contemplate getting a job and finding somewhere to live. Watch the first half of the Rangers game then go and play Astroturf football.

Friday: Go into town and speak to a job agency. Try and get a job for next week. Get the train to Manchester. Five hours later get into Manc, go for a couple of beers. Watch Peep Show. Sleep.

Saturday: Wake up early, get breakfast, get on the beers, meet my mate at 10am. Get on the Tram to Old Trafford. Watch West Ham beat United. Get the train back to Norwich. Sleep.

Sunday: Sleep. Watch Snooker. Sleep.

I'm going on a stag weekend

I'm not blokey enough for those types of shenanigans though, so I'll probably spend the weekend sulking while other people drink lots of beer and go PHWOOOAR I'D LIKE TO GIVE THAT A TEST DRIVE KNOW WHAT I MEAN HUR HUR YEAH EXTRA CHILLI SAUCE MATE and stuff.

I have a hen do the weekend after.

Similarly, I doubt I pass the required girlie criteria on any level. There's a reasonable chance I may faint at some point during the evening after a cheese induced saccharine overdose.

WHY

come and say hi! or not.

My aunt wants to have lunch in the White Hart

for her birthday on Sunday. Don't ask me why.

Hmmm...mebbe, if you and/or Rob are about in the afternoon.

I'm not sure if I have any..

..wait to get paid. My parents are visiting on saturday on their way to the peak district, hopefully they'll bring me some food. I need to tidy up my flat, I haven't since GTA's been out.
I'm not sure what I'm doing bank holiday yet- any Nottingham DiSers fancy a kickabout? (weather permitting)

You still here?!?!?!??!

YOU UTTER CUNT!

Why didnt u circle jerk me last night! It was more of a line jerkkkk... fuck it.. it was just mirri jerking me

I'm planning a cheap weekend of doing nothing.

Trip to Aberystwyth

drinking, Y Bae, more drinking, breakfast, more drinking, the beach. Drinking.

Y Bae?

Welsh auction site??

I used to think that

It's actually a pub/club (nominally) that was pretty much my home for 5 years. About the only semi-decent indie/rock/dance-centric place open beyond 1am. It is pronounced as eBay though, or more traditionally, "The Bay".

Going to Brighton

getting drunk
Friend's birthday
Hopefully see Lucky Dragons on Monday

Gig on saturday night (wire)

small festival on sunday, then a house party. Probably having the work fear the next day.

^5

any idea of good shit going on at futuresonic on sunday?

former bullies are ok,

Its mostly good to walk down the strip and check out whats happening, theres usually a fair ammount of pap though.

Talibam!

are ace, can't wait for them. The A Band will be great too. Plus plenty of other stuff, but they're the two things I'm most excited for.

Bobby Digital tonight

which apparently includes 'An Audience with the RZA' which I'm looking forward to.
Chrome Hoof/G.A.Y./Rolo tomorrow night
Wedding on Saturday (during which I will NOT be thinking about all the fun happening in Manchester that I'm missing out on)
Sounds From The Other City on Sunday
More Futuresonic fest fun on Monday

again ^5

see you tomorrow! know any good goings on?

I think you've got everything covered

everyone will be at Sounds From The Other City on Sunday though, you really ought to go to if you can afford it!

that wasn't a JAG by the way

it's genuinely really good!

Pretty much all of this stuff too

Thurs: B.O.B.B.Y. & co., plus chat!
Fri: Chromehoof possibly if I can get out of meeting folk.
Sat: Possibly meeting people in the daytime, then Wire and Ricardo Villalobos (hopefully).
Sun: Sounds from the other city! I can feel the hangover already..
Mon: More futuresonic stuff. I will expire, due to the combination of physical punishment inflicted on myself and money-related guilt/anxiety.

I'm going to be so poor on Monday

how on earth am I going to afford ATP? :(

I know, its depressing

I nearly cried when I paid for all those tickets, plus the one's I thought might sell out in May. I might have to sell some important internal organ to pay the rent. Money! God damn it.

I just bought a hip flask from a charity shop for 99p!

My money worries - almost instantly over? Probably not!

I'm taking similar action

Re: not buying expensive pints everywhere for the next 5 days or so. Ex-girlfriends hip flask and tractor fuel-esque spirits for me! God I love One Stop.

I might get a stock of my current favourite Polish lager of choice too - Strong. That is visionary marketing, right there: don't bother having a brand name anymore - it looks Strong, it smells Strong, it tastes Stong! Its Strong! STRONG!

Saturday -

kidnapping my housemates and driving them to Dorset to do some dinosaur hunting along the Jurassic coast, going crabbing and eating fish and chips on Lyme Regis harbour wall.

Saturday night - Camping in the rain.

Sunday - Drinking, drinking games, getting drunk, surfing, cannoning, laser tag, kite boarding, RC racing, basketball killer, qQuiet contemplation, grass boarding, river raft cruises, campfires, BBQs and molten marshmallows, card games, manhunt, fireworks and tombstoning.

Monday - driving back to London.

It's indie kids go to the country time!

7 hours monday

Between working i will be looking for a new job i think

asdfghjkl;'

tomorrow: stuff!
saturday: tomrich's party
sunday: eggs

Work and sleep!

Just generally having a rest before next week - going to see Howlin Rain on Wednesday, then it's my mum's 40th on Thursday and I'm leaving mid-afternoon to go to ATP, so all a bit hectic. Trying to conserve money and liver before ATP!

How many of you that I like

are going to Olegrich's party? I might be persuaded to accept my invitation

not me!

I'm meant to be going to 3 parties

But I've just checked my balance, and even though I was paid last Friday I have just under £200 in my account, which is actually really worrying. I also need to save for Great Escape and Hox To Dot, so it's likely I'll be sitting in with Family Guy Season 2 boxset and a bottle if wine.

tonight: CURSED!!!!!!

tomorrow don't know
Saturday: wedding in the day and then olegrich's party
Sunday: flying to Northern Ireland to go to another wedding.
Monday: being at wedding.

Its my daughter's first brithday tomorrow

That RULES and yes I may listen to music and drink beer and watch football and read 'Orwell and the Dispossesed' and see lots of friends up for the weekend, I may evenOMGS be out in Shoreditch, but not djing or hanging out with flat chested St martins students

Erm.

Tonight: Health/Skeletons
Tomorrow: Avoiding going out. Sitting in my living room for 12 hours watching Indian Premier League cricket on Setanta and eating ice cream.
Saturday: Hopefully some people will be coming to my house
Sunday: Lemon cafe, football and Kilburn. Or something.
Monday: Might go home and/or see Lucky Dragons

xx` `

Hello.

I look forward to your face at our party.

We have a rigorous training routine of mad dog and sega dreamcast.

p.s. does anyone know how to put up dartboard? Um, outside?

darts plus alcohol plus party

= sensible combination

Well,

I've got my 9 o'clock lecture cancelled tomorrow so I may just escape Swansea for the day and go to Bristol or summat. Anyone know anything good to do in Bristol? Then get back to Swansea in time to see the Black Lips play at Sin City

Saturday - I'll see who's about and possibly try and organise a little trip to the beach (probably either Three Cliffs Bay or Rhossili Bay).

Sunday - Day of general laziness, I might try and get some more of my essays done but who knows.

Monday - Not a clue yet, probably just try to get some work done.

tonight

copy haho. or health. still havent chosen
tomorrow: dunno
saturday: im documenting every single human interaction that i have for 24 hours and rating out of 10 for a ridiculously self indulgent article for a zine. in that time im going to the Maths gig at beyond retro, having a band rehearsal and going at least one house party
sunday: sleeping
monday: shit knows. lucky dragons at ICA i think

Oxford with boyfriend.

Hopefully, as little GTA 4 as I can wangle.

Maybe Live at Leeds,

maybe HEALTH,

maybe neither.

hmm

tomorrow: uni work stuff
saturday: either sort-of friend's birthday party or friend's gig
sunday: sheffield wednesday vs norwich city end of season party, followed by bjork concert :)))
