Not just as a venue but the pub as well

A great shame, if they had invested in it, The Jug would have ruled Moseley. I saw Secret Machines there, classic gig. I wonder if A Place To Bury Strangers will play somewhere else in Brum, they were due on the 21st.

but at least the Hare and Hounds has got good to replace it in that area.

I loved the Jug, except for one time when I pressed a tap in the girls toilets and a cockroach came out instead of water...

The promoter will be moving on to other venues though, and he's putting on some gigs in the days remaining featuring some of the bands who have been associated with the Jug over the years.

Independent venues of that size struggle. It'll be interesting to see how the Hare & Hounds gets on, it's a much better looking venue, but the room feels bigger than the one at the Jug.

Farewell to the Jug.

oxes at the jug is still one of my favourite gigs ever. with solway fifth i believe, who are also lovely

over. Kaput. Went for one last drink there on Sunday, cannot believe this place was allowed to die :(
