I think i'm more excited about this weekend than any other this season. It's a pity Chelsea don't hold a slightly more realistic chance of taking the title, also that my own team seems to have give up, but it should still be a guddun, especially tomorrow, the final day of the Championship season > everything else, for me. I'll be flabberghasted if United manage to mess up at home to a long-time safe in mid-table West Ham, Fulham will probably bore Birmingham to death for a 1-0 win, a scoreline i'm sure Reading, Bolton and even Boro would take today, too. I'm actually hoping for a Birmingham win, only so it makes for a better last day, meaning Wigan need a point to definitly stay up and if they weren't to win today, we could still get rid of Boro, with us relegating them for Sven's swansong. In the Championship, West Brom and Stoke are as good as up, Hull, Bristol City, Palace & Watford should make up the play off spots, with Leicester probably dropping out of the league, ah well, so long as Blackpool stay up. In League One, Gillingham look gone, i expect today might prove a step to far for Bournemouth, though i hope i'm wrong, perhaps they could get a point and rely on a favour from Doncaster, who knows? I think Forest might sneak second.

United 2 West Ham 0
Villa 3 Wigan 1
Blackburn 3 Derby 1
Fulham 1 Birmingham 0
Boro 2 Pompey 1
Reading 2 Spuds 1
Bolton 1 Sunderland 0
Arsenal 2 Everton 2
Liverpool 2 City 0
Newcastle 2 Chelsea 2

Come on you Reds!

Off to the pub v.soon to start the (hopefully) promotion party. 30,000 sell out today v Yeovil. Will no doubt be a bigger gate than most Premiership matches as per.

^ Good luck.

The sooner we get Forest back in the big league the better.

why?

no team deserves to be in any division. just because they won a couple of trophies two decades ago doesn't mean they have any right to be in the premier league.

going by your logic, blackpool and wolverhampton should be in there as well.

^ a very strange reply.

Where did anyone say Forest deserve to be anywhere other than they are now?

"The sooner we get Forest back in the big league the better"

implied that you think forest need to be in the top division for the good of football or something.

in hindsight, i just fancied moaning about something.

just be harking back for the 'good old days' really.

Forest, Norwich, QPR, Sheff Weds, Southampton, Leeds, Ipswich, Coventry, Wimbledon, Oldham - them were the days, or maybe not.

don't forget swindon

i'd just started watching football around that time so i was easily impressed, but i'm guessing the standard of football wasn't as good as it is now?

that said, i don't think i've watched a premiership match this season so i have nothing to compare it against.

Don't forget

You're a twat with no knowledge of football so shut the fuck up.

Don't forget Wolves!

It's been 50 years since we were called the best team in the world. I think we're due another shot at it...

i'll never forgive you lot

for knocking us out of two fa cup semi finals in the 30s.

We've been to Europe

We won the Cup twice!

Fuck off twat

We're there!

And when was the last time Blackpool

got a big crowd?

Oh yeah, two years ago when FOREST took 4000 and wrecked their town....

I had a dream in which

Savage got the first goal a little into the first half, followed by a penalty which they scored, and then immediately afterwards a kind of surreal mass fight with everyone which caused the game to be ended just before half time.

Hopefully Tugay will get a nice (probable) sending off and get another of those 30yarders.

By 'sending off'

I mean farewell, obviously, not an actual sending off. That would not be so good.

Birmingham City fan reporting

Officially soiling his undergarments. Keep Right On you Blue boys!

come on bolton and crewe

you both better fucking stay up!!1!

2 - 0

villa i think. gabby and carew on the scoresheet.
if only arsenal can beat everton tomorrow then europe is ours! almost.

I have a gut feeling

United will draw with West Ham. To borrow a wanky cliche, I think there's at least one more twist in the title race.

I hope so, but i'm not convinced Chelsea will beat Newcastle.

If they'd have not made the CL final i'd have probably fancied them more. I can see United winning, Chelsea dropping points on Monday, then vice cersa happening on the last day - Chelsea winning, and United having a million chances but failing to score at Wigan. The pressure's definitely on United, though, no-one's expecting Chelsea to win it. If you offered Chelsea fans the title now but told them they'd not win the European Cup, i think most of them would take it. United will win the league on goal difference and Chelsea will beat United in Moscow. Emile fuckin' Heskey, eh?

That's certainly the most likely course of events

but Curbishley seems to pull these type of results out of the bag every now and then, especially when he's under so much pressure. It's all idle speculation on my part though.

On another note, just heard Kevin Doyle's cousin(?) (or some other relative, I missed that part) and her two kids were murdered this week. Fuck me...

AND RONALDO SCORES

How many's that this season? 63?

^ They say never follow your instinct when betting.

I put a five on him to get the first goal at 7/2. I looked at the hat-trick, it was 25/1, i knew it was going to happen, but i didn't put the pissing money on it. I-D-I-O-T.

Nani off.

What an embarassment.

I hate Utd so much.

And how can Ronaldo complain?

AAAAAArgh

What's happening, i'm not watching?

I came home when the third went in!

Nani off

butted Neill.
Fergie not happy.

Nani headbutted someone

and then has the nerve to go down himself clutching his face.

Admittedly, the W.Ham player went down limbs flailing and stuff.

Green was standing over Nani, telling him to get up and stuff.

I hate Nani's face

It's even less manly than Ronaldo's!
Green used to be my favourite player for a while

Nani's red was deserved

but Neill is a fucking cock of the first order.

^ Agreed.

He's on £80k a week. EIGHTY THOUSAND POUNDS A WEEK, for nothing more than being a poor mans Danny Mills.

Agreed

But you're pretty much insane if you think his reaction is worse than headbutting someone and THEN going down as if you're injured / the victim.

^ this

I didn't say it was worse

but Neill, a so-called hard man, went down as if he's been twatted by a baseball bat when in reality he'd been brushed by a skinny Michael Jackson lookalike's head. Pathetic.

and in any case

Neill is a gobby, dirty twat.

Like I said,

I agree with that.

But I'm not entirely sure if Nani would've been [deservedly] sent off if he didn't at least go down. Kinda sad, but true.

don't get me wrong

Nani is an idiot for rising to the bait. And if you must get sent off for butting Lucas Neill, you could at least make a proper go of it and do some damage.

I've no doubt that Ferguson will deal with Nani accordingly. I didn't see him out for the end-of-season lap of honour, actually.

oh yes

and his reaction was cringeworthy.

Is anyone having a bet today?

I'm struggling to find anything worth betting on. A lot of teams are either short odds or teams that really need something in the lower leagues tend to be playing other teams that do. The Fulham, Boro, Reading & Bolton homes look the best bet, but i'm not really sure about any of them. In League One Gillingham need to win, but are away at Leeds, Bournemouth are at Carlisle & Cheltenham play Doncaster, all pretty hard to call. League Two looks absolutely settled so i'm not sure i fancy anything there. Any suggestions?

grimsby will lose at hereford

we gave up a few weeks ago and quite a few of the first team have been told they can leave so there's no real incentive for them to do anything but roll over and die today.

told you

i iwsh i was at elland road

i think Gary 'return of the' Mac said he'd be fielding a second string team today, this may increase Gillingham's chances...

West Ham

have let everyone down. I hope they're proud of themselves.

Arsenal out of the title race

That stupid bit of hope I had has now gone. Man Utd to win the title now fo' sho'

this weekend is depressing for me

colchester are playing scunthorpe. both teams already down, so it's our last game in the championship (for now anyway).

KENNY

MILLER!

Lack of breath from laughter at Blackburn.

When Derby go down again again

we'll sing!
We'll sing...

Hmm.

Blackburn are being beaten at home by Derby right now.

Pigs did fly at Coachella.

Possibly.

I'd actually quite like that, but then again I'd love a play-off final between us and Forest.

Thus, I'm not entirely sure if I want Doncaster to come back [but I think they will]

they won't and blackpool will end up getting relegated

and there will be no comedy for anybody else. Except Bradford still being in league 2.

Ha Ha Ha!!!!!!!

man utd vs west ham

fantastic game. great goals from ashton and tevez.

i can see fergie offloading Nani after end of the season. for past month he has been abysmmal and fergies reaction pretty much tells the story.

I'd be very surprised to see Nani sold

granted he was out of order today, but don't forget that crucial goal against Spurs which guaranteed us the three points at Old Trafford (and how useful have they turned out to be), plus that goal to kill off the scousers.

He must have set up between 10 and 15 this season as well, since unlike Giggs he's actually capable of taking a decent corner. He needs to cut out the diving and petulance, but I still think he'll mature into a very useful player.

You only came to see Forest

Came to see Forest!!!!!

Yaaaaay Fulham!

McBride!

fucking hell

i'm ashamed to be associated with crewe (even more so than usual)...

CREWE ARE SAFE!!!!

YAY!!! not that they deserved it on that fucking performance...i've been bricking it here.

now come on bolton, a scrappy 1-0 against sunderland would be lovely

Come on Forest!!!

Please, please, PLEASE!!!

Yay!

Yay yay yay yay yay!!!!

Bring on the Championship!!!

yay leeds

poor gillingham :(

MASSIVE YAY for Fulham

What a brilliant BRILLIANT day!

As i said earlier, this is my favourite weekend of the season, absolutely love it. Well done to Fulham, Forest & Cheltenham, hard luck to Bournemouth, sad to see them go after their recent run. Also to Reading, who i'll be sad to see go if they do. Also, thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo, Celtic, Fulham, Northampton & Dagenham for keeping me in drink and biscuits. Now COME ON BOLTON!

This is possibly the best day of my life so far

Only about 4% of that is Roque/Blackburn related, but I thought I'd mention it anyhow.

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!

BOLTON!!!!!!!

now fuck megson off and get big sam back

Can we all please hope for a late Tromso goal?

If it happens, and providing Anderlecht don't completely collapse in the second half i'll win a fair sum. PLEASE SCORE!

^belgian football

i imagine.

p.s. sorry about your lot twee_loser. sven didn't deserve to be sacked at all.

Norweigen.

They drew. After Bolton & Sporting Gijon winning, and Anderlect being 2-0 up at half-time. £150 i'd have had, the bastards!

NOTTINGHAM NOTTINGHAM NOTTINGHAM

Aren't internet cafes great!

I love you Pierre Ducasse.

I just want that on record!

Charlton win 4-1

and Chris Powell, age 38, is subbed on in the 84th minute. And scores. His last ever game as a player and coach.

Incredible scenes.

Sunday was a cracking day of football.
