But I haven't got any salt to go with it!
Both amazing cartoons
I used to get the annuals every Xmas.
The Broons plotlines were the same every year - Pa Broon would always varnish himself into a corner or put a new carpet over the house keys.
And halfway through the annual, the family would go to the But and Ben.
Nostalgia.
:)

When I moved to Scotland when I was 9
these two publications really confused the hell out of me. All my school friends used to get the annuals for christmas, and I just had no idea what was even happening in them. Oor Wullie especially.
I cannae write like that
but yeah I used to love them. My granny always got the Sunday Post sent down. I love the fact that in the Broons they have basically been using the same plotlines since WWII.
Noo ken this youngens!
My favorite strip from Oor Wullie is the one when, unbeknownst to him, Wullie's friends start a secret society where they wear tattie sacks o'er their heids an' the secret password is "fish and chips".
Dis anybody ken whit
the twins or the bairns name wis in the Broons?
Also Maggie.....she was fair braw!
