and like they're absolutely a million times better than anything you losers have ever recommended to me.

I hate you all.

Officially.

PHIL

Have you ever listened

to something I've recommended ?

who do you recommend

these days anyway lyle, other than whipping boy i mean ;)

I've made a

thread a few hours ago which is slowly going down. You can click on it.

And my favourite albums of the year so far are by :
Songdog
The Sleeping Years
Gregor Samsa
Last Harbour
Envelopes
Fighting with wire
Sharron Krauss

i've heard some of those

any chance of a rough synopsis of the best two or three?

Go listen

it will be better than my words. The best ones are without a doubt the first 4.

who are the beatles?

never heard of them.

0/10

sorry.

^ fraid so

it wasnt really a joke

more just me being sarcastic at claire for being such a FUCKING MORON

i thought this was a joke thread

written by wrightylew...seemingly.

oh i see

makes sense

No

If it was wrighty, he'd be saying the Small Faces were more consistant.

On the subject of the Beatles'

"Things We Said Today" is an excellent and often overlooked song.

^ you're an idiot Hey Judes massively rated/ looked at

"Hey, you've got to hide your love away" should be hear more though

you boob

Personally I think 'Yesterday' is the most criminally neglected Beatles song

and should be heard above 'Hey, you've got to hide your love away', or anything else for that matter.

...

What's clouding you sensory's, matey? Too much beige wallpaper?

Yesterday is the most criminally regurgitated Beatles track. It appears on the soundtrack to the Mr.Bean movie?!

hahahahahaha

tears of LOL

I'm pretty sure

A Day In The Life is not underrated.

MOJO reader's voted it their best song. Not that that means shit.

sorry to break it to you...

But I'm afraid they were discovered back in the 60s.

Move on and leave it.

I can strongly recommend

never listening to the beatles as they were both the first to be that good and also still one of the best. Its almost impossibke to play a song after them that doesnt sound shit.

So in conclusion; avoid. Too good.

Early Beatles

DO NOT WANT

Some good songs here and there, but it all sounds the same.

Klaire; have you been in a coma

most of your adult life to only have discovered the beatles now? Also I disagree mr Joe Diddly; early Beatles have some genius pop moments and it definitely does not all "sound the same".

I like how you think that's an excuse.

I seriously thought this was a joke thread until now.

I've come to discover..

This sort of Lord Snooty attitude is rife on this forum. It's achingly pathetic.

It's petulant, petty, pig-tailed bollocks.

Lord Snooty

:)

If you think the Beatles are good

just wait till you get to Wings!
Band on the Run is gooooold!

finally!

It only took someone 45mins but there she blows!

I'm very happy for you

Really. It's great when this happens.

The best bands, usually, have half a dozen absolutely classic songs in their entire existence. The Beatles have about a hundred.

'Rubber Soul', 'Revolver', 'Abbey Road' and 'Help' are essential LPs.

The song 'Rain' isn't on an LP, not on the red and blue singles compilations, but it must be found and heard. It was only a b-side.

Rain

is available on Past Masters Volume 2.

Before the start of the spring term last year

My flatmate and I did a "Best of the Beatles" 2 CD Disc compilation. It was fucking hard.

It was 2 CDs of 22 tracks in total. We both had a veto, I excercised mine on Hey Jude and my flatmate on Yellow Submarine.

Here's what we came up with!

CD1

1. Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band
2. I Saw Her Standing There
3. Please Mr Postman
4. Love Me Do
5. Eight Days A Week
6. Her Majesty
7. Day Tripper
8. And Your Bird Can Sing
9. A Hard Days Night
10. Help!
11. Everybody’s Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey
12. I Want You (She’s So Heavy)
13. Strawberry Fields Forever
14. I’m So Tired
15. Yesterday
16. Eleanor Rigby
17. I Am The Walrus
18. Come Together
19. Mother Nature’s Son
20. Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)
21. Within You Without You
22. Tomorrow Never Knows

CD2

1. Back In The USSR
2. Twist And Shout
3. I Want To Hold Your Hand
4. She Loves You
5. She Said She Said
6. Ticket To Ride
7. Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
8. I’m Only Sleeping
9. Nowhere Man
10. Here, There, Everywhere
11. Dear Prudence
12. Something
13. Long, Long, Long
14. Across The Universe
15. Blackbird
16. Here Comes The Sun
17. While My Guitar Gently Weeps
18. Sexy Sadie
19. Octupus’s Garden
20. Get Back
21. Helter Skelter
22. A Day In The Life

The Best Of The Beatles

that has to be my favourite Beatles album.

^5

I love you.

octopus's garden?

i don't understand why you'd listen to that when you have the option of smearing yourself in your own shit at hand.

You have to have

one Ringo song on a Best of the Beatles compilation!!!

Dude,

its about like, an Octopus. How can that ever be cool?

Your compilation failed

Where is Rain?

It had to be narrowed down!

Neither of them made the final cut unfortunately.

That's a really bad idea.

But making a Beatles collection is never going to work, unless its a collection of early singles.

please ignore this thread

someone hacked into my account. i haven't discovered the beatles, and i don't intend on doing so any time soon.

lol

and again, lol.

I only discovered the Beatles two years ago when I was 18,

but you're right, better than any fookin' band around now or anything anyone ever recommended on these boards... they're almost as good as Oasis!

OMG

YR PANIC AT THE DISCO!!!!
