Tap into the 13 - 16 year old market who have very little interest in rock and just like popular stuff that is simply shoved in their face. For example Scouting For Girls.

Cajan Dance Party
They're not gonna last in the slightest
Having heard Cajun Dance Party's album before I read the DiS review of it
I actually thought it was one of the best debut indie albums I'd heard in the last year or so. I know it's not been a particularly thriving genre but it was a welcome breath of fresh air. It seems like I'm the only one who thinks so.

Maybe everyone's building themselves up for a big splurge, but they seem to have suddenly dropped right off the hype radar after failing to gain a single good review from the NME tour - Radio 1 hasn't playlisted their single, the NME aren't doing their "but he's also an actor!" fallback, Vertigo are giving One Night Only a belated but huge push.
Metrostation
are one of the worst bands ever and bound to fail very shortly.
i think Hadouken are about to fizzle out despite them being lovely people.
i hope MGMT fail. but i doubt that unfortunately.
