yes yes yes

took me some listening too, but it has some wonderful moments on it.I'm still more in love with Apologies To The Queen Marry though. But then thats been in my stereo way way longer so its only natural I guess.

P.S. I will by ya later ;)

Did you notice how all the lengthy songs seem so much shorter than they actually are?

I too will buy it upon release, if that's what you mean.

It's interesting that Boeckner totally outshines Krug on this album too. Fine Young Cannibals is AMAZING.

I think I'll give this a few more listens

only a couple of the songs have struck me so far....

hehe yeah my keyboard is ace at missing letters

I shal buy it when it coems out.

The long songs are indeed a good listen and dont drag at all. I can no longer rembere which one Boeckner and Krug are, I'm sure I will get familuar again soon enough. I really like both their styles. California Dreamer is my fav so far but then the whole album is growing on me still.

Its a really great album

it took me few listens to get into but now i can't stop listening to it. I agree that Dan Boeckner songs standout over Krugs, the songs he writes on this album are probably the best he has recorded.

Well they're sung by

Soldiers Grin, Language City, The Grey Estates, Fine Young Cannibals - Boeckner

Call it A Ritual, Bang Your Drum, Calafornia Dreamer, An Animal in Your Care - Krug

Kissing the Beehive - Both

but there is a load of good keyboard/guitar across the board

I reckon they worked well together this time.

Bang your drum feels a bit too sunset rubdown for me but apart from that its pretty awesome.

i'm having an awkard time with it

it doesn't seem to hit the highs of the debut, which was immediate in many ways. i'm giving it lots of chances since i love apologies and the sunset rubdown albums, but there's nothing that touches fancy claps/i'll believe/modern world/grounds for divorce etc, and i'm not a fan of the more meandering moments. hmmm

I

definitely agree that Dan oustshines Spencer on this one and you can definitely hear the influence of Spencers other projects on his new WP tracks. I'm hoping it will grow more but apologies will no doubt out shine.
