Longwave - Free download from their forthcoming album

Not exactly a band that generates much furore on these pages but, as officially Longwave's biggest fan in the whole wide world, I feel its my duty to inform anyone who is even mildly interested that you can download new song 'Sirens In The Deep Sea' off their myspace page. Please do, it's a cracker of a tune.

Nice to see there is a bit of love for them here

Its true, they do get better. I'm a big fan of The Strangest Things and There's A Fire, but the new songs blow them both out of the water. SITDS, No Direction, Life Is Wrong, It's True...all career highlights. Can't wait for the new album. Don't know how or when it'll be released though, they're not on a label after all. Maybe being friends with Albert Hammond Jr will prove to be an advantage!

I love The Strangest Things

but for some reason I don't have any of their other albums.

The new songs sound great though - No Direction is brilliant.

No Direction is indeed brilliant. I much prefer the older version that David Fridmann produced way back in 2006 though, as opposed to the one currently on their myspace.
