By and large -yes.
Robert Downey Jr is a lot of fun, Gwyneth Paltrow looks very hot and Jeff Bridges is a towering baddy.
The only problem with the film is that all superhero films have essentially the same plot -hero gets powers and then fights a darker version of himself.

Agreed - except for that Jeff Bridges is a 'towering' baddie.
He went from offering the hero pizza to homicidal maniac within 2 minutes. Towering baddies should be overtly evil from the start. And it took me until the very end of the film to realise he was The Dude.
And that terrorist was rubbish as well.
Jeff Bridges is not evil
Make him bald and put him in charge of a killing machine and he still isn't evil. Nobody evil has a voice like that.
Otherwise, good!
I meant 'towering' in the sense
that he's physically bigger than anyone else in the film.

well, Robert Downey Jr anyway.
There is quite a lot of background story telling, but as with many of these Marvel films coming out now they are building up to an Avengers film in about 4 years time which is going to feature loads of the Marvel franchise, so they might as well get the back stories out of the way first.
Saying that though i didn't really mind seeing as i knew practically nothing about Iron Man before seeing the film.

seriously. stay all the way through the credits. and they're long, believe me. but it's worth it.
as to the film, i thought it was grand. it was a superhero movie so therefore never likely to transport me but i thought it was perfectly entertaining. the suit was awesome and downey jnr was sublime as always..
i want to go see it but i know il be disappointed

Possibly worth noting that Gwyneth Paltrow is actually pretty sexy in this. She rocks that whole buttoned up corporate fox thing so well.

of the marvel civil war alongside all the totally uncool lame-o heroes like the fantastic four against the awesome ones like the x-men and captain america (resulting in caps assassination)
