Is this the best album SO FAR tihs year?

I was previously enjoying the Dodos but this takes it for me.
It seems to be a perfect blend of Sub Pop of old and Sub Pop of new. A kind of intellectualised grunge record that's still really dumb. I think the band have streamlined there ideas since Weirdo Rippers and yet have not made there music any more comercial. I hope you are enjoying it as much as me.

It's great

I've only listened to it once though. Isn't there like a post-rock track somewhere in it?

is that impossible Bouquet?

I love the way they switch between the punky trash parts and the hypnotic instrumental parts

quite possibly yes

even if it isn't THE BEST, it's still one of the (actually few) best i have heard/will hear this year. it's got a perfect blend of the noisy and punk and pop and sunny. i love it loads.

today

:-O

I'll go and have a look in a 'shop' for this later.

Hmmm...

I've listened to it a load of times. It still hasn't clicked, maybe I'll keep trying.

I wasn't as impressed with Nouns

at first compared to Weirdo rippers but it has grown on me alot since.

its right up there with

Atlas Sound
No Age
Why?
Youthmovies
The Mae Shi

for me so far, maybe even in that order I dunno....

It fucking bangs...

I've just listened to it twice through straight after buying it. Definitely in the top three best records this year.

Yes.

I posted an elongated expression of my admiration for this record below the review a while back.

I would agree with Pitchfork...

and i beat them to critically acclaiming it, which for some perculiar reason, fills me with satisfaction? unexplainable.

*peculiar

treble post, apologies. And for the error.

I don't know why

but I love the record. Second album of the year I really love as well as Mystery Jets - 11.

absolutely,

its a quality record
