Absolutely lolz worthy

Terrible, terrible music from a band that were good for one a half albums but have been terrible ever since.

Liam's voice is laughable

Where can I hear them?

I'm not hoping for anything special, but I'll bet my life on the fact it'll be four million times better than anything DiS, Pitchfork or the NME have given 8/10+ in the past two years.

Just listening to

I Wanna Live In A Dream.

I think its really really good. Hope the others are good too.

The Liam one

was naff, but I'm digging Noel's.

Viva la Oasis.

....

Nothing on me sounds like Meaning Of Soul off the last album.

Theres a Liam version of Lord Don't Slow Me Down
Sounds like a karaoke version.

Live In A Dream sounds resonable but not too much of a departure.

Stop The Clocks is poor.

The only thing that could be good about it is that they;re demos, but, well can you polish a turd?

That wouldthen be a mixture of

Ride, Heavy Stereo Kula Shaker and, err Ringos son.

Hang on a minute that would rule!

Kula shaker?

...is Liam really Crispin Mills?

Nope

Keyboard player from Kula Shaker is in Oasis. Guitarist from Ride. Guitarist from Heavy Stereo.

All the bands they used to hate if I am not much mistaken.

Jay Darlington?

looks the spit of George Harrison at the live shows.

Didn't Kula Shaker play at Knebworth.

Not sure if they had any ill will to Ride.

Yeah good point

But they were kind of against fey indie boys. Which ride very much were.

(yeah Jay Darlington)

i actually think they'd be better without Noel.

He thinks he's some sort of melodic genius, but he's just a cunt who can't write or sing and who's a terrible front for a band. The better Oasis tracks are the really early ones, the pre-DM demos. Yeah it's simple lad-rock, but it's good enough. If they booted Noel out and let Liam write then they might end up with loads of songs about sausages but it's be a bit raw at least. The best track Oasis ever made was 'Alive'. They should do more like that and less...nah fuck it, they're shit.

Cloudburst ....

is from that time, but I mean must be the music, Life In vain,Take Me? don't rate them, even against Noels worse tracks

Just thinks he's cool doesn't he?

"The better Oasis tracks are the really early ones, the pre-DM demos."

lol. Awww!

I like Morning Glory and Def Maybe more now

than I did then. Huh. Anyhowzit, canna find a stream of new stuff and can't be arsed.

Thank you posting the demos of your new band

We have listened to each song here in the office and feel there is potential in what you do. The drums have a certain Ringoish style to them and certainly the bass playing, at times, is reminiscent of elderly left-hander Paul McCartney. The lead guitar echoes the late George Harrison, and the vocals have, as an undertone, a smattering of the late John Lennon. In fact, if those four had been in a band together, you would sound like a tenth-rate tribute act to them who played only such a band's less-accomplished songs. I have passed on your number to my friends at EasyCruise who, as I'm sure you know, operate cut-price cruises around the Isle Of Man and they would jump at the chance to employ you for a six month stint. In closing, may I recommend beards.

:D

...

or marry a film/popstar/crazy japanesse bird.

I <3 you

...

"like Marc Bolan smoking crack with Doctor Who..."

new song are pretty average really

meh!

Oasis never really did it for me, minus a few songs.

Nah, they are allright.

Not relevant anymore though.

The enduring appeal of Oasis continues to astound me.........

A fairly good debut album (although, it was pretty bad in comparison in to the abundance of incredible rock music that was around at the time), then a moderate sophomore release which yielded a couple of big singles and then..........well over a decade of turgid, plodding, three chord pub rock.

I'll probably get told off for saying this, but they're one of those bands for people who don't really like music, aren't they? Dare I say it, a band for football fans*.

*Yeah. Not DiS style people who happen to follow a football team amongst many and varied other interests, I refer more to boorish, mono-syllabic types who are incapable of grasping the fact that some people aren't bothered about 'footy'.

It is called the Zeigeist. Right place,

right time. Guitar bands were out of Vogue and suddenly Rock and Roll was there for everyone to see. Fans still go and see the Stones and they arenot exaclty relevant anymore in todays music - they go and see them to hear the older hits being played live.

*This post does not equate the mastery of the Rolling Stones to Oasis.

Thank god!

Agreed though, some bands are just lucky with their timing.

...

Agreed they make music for football fans but when people over analysis the music, they always draw the similarities to big chorus' and terrace chants.

I don't think there a band for football fans its just most football fans seem to love them.

...

I might have contradicted myself there, I'm distracted by Harrison Ford in Air Force One.

What a ridiculous assumption

It's like saying Radiohead are for Maths teachers, or 65 Days Of Static are for Chemistry students.

A totally snobbish and clueless assertion there, young Alex, totally.

Oh My God!!!

Those songs are absolutely brilliant... Noel Gallagher is just a friggin' awesome human-being.

Can't believe all the Oasis haters on this thread...

What's up with your ears!? Oasis are one of the greatest bands of all time, you dig?

Nothing On Me

finally sees Liam caricaturing his own voice, while I Wanna Live In A Dream has that sodding mellotron in it again!!!

To quote Noel Gallagher...

It's the same old pub rock bollocks really. Astoundingly dull. "I Wanna Live A Dream (In My Record Machine)" could well be the worst song title I've ever heard.

...

what exactly does "I Wanna Live In A Dream (In My Record Machine) mean?

Or are they trying to get back to the glory days of fishes and dishes, dozens and ovens?

After the relative step up with Don't Believe The Truth, its like its back to Standing On The Shoulder (S!!!!!!) Of Giants.

They are unfortunately average

...as per the last 10 years or so for Oasis.

The new album will still sell a bazillion copies as usual though.

*Actually* - having listened to them again, those songs really are crap. I didn't think they could get more derivavtive, but somehow Noel's managed it. Surely that's worth some sort of congratulations?

The thing is,

these are demos that were recorded a few years ago during the Death In Vegas sessions which were eventually scrapped. I can see why.

Nothing On Me sounds like fourteen previous Oasis songs in one. I Wanna Live In A Dream In My Record Machine...I think I knew what the melody for the chorus would be like before I even heard it. Stop The Clocks is okay, but generally quite forgettable. I don't think these give even a vague glimpse of how the new album might sound though; due to when they were recorded. I still have at least a glimmer of hope.

another oasis shocker:

they're dogshit
