On Saturday night, a friend and I ended up going to this club with a couple and some man I'd not met before. I immediately assumed this woman's friend was gay based on just erm, stereotypes and his living (and that the other man was her boyfriend).

My friend kept mouthing 'He's so GAY' to me in the car, which is not normally like her. I was bemused, because her boyfriend (the man I thought was her boyfriend) was definitely not gay-looking/acting (in a conventional sense).

Anyway, it was only at the end of the night on leaving, that my friend was like 'Didn't you think he was gay? He's a pattern-cutter for a living! He sounds gay! He acts gay!' I even remembered the woman making a joke about her boyfriend being mistaken for gay, which I laughed at the time, because it seemed an odd thing to say about someone who's clearly out. But in retrospect, it's an even weirder thing to say about your boyfriend.

My head exploded with oddness.
