The Fall: A-Sides
Okay, not blown away.
6/10
Herman Dune: Giant
Pleasant but too long
7/10
Jack Lewis: Laissezfaire Lewis
Noisy, ramshackle, full of surprises.
9/10
Prewar Yardsale: Peel Sessions
Short but fun.
8/10
Dufus: The Last Classed Blast
All over the place, self-indulgent but consistently good.
8/10
Professor Louis: Sit Down at the Table
Haven't listened to yet.
New Torche

This week has been one
of my best ever for CD purchases:
Weezer - Pinkerton
David Crosby - If I could only remember my name
Blitzen Trapper -Wild Mountain Nation
Melt Banana - Bambi's dilemma
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Willy and the Poor Boys
Why? - Alopecia
Elbow - Cast of thousands
The Mae Shi -HLLYH
Captain Beefheart - Safe as milk
Bob Wills - Famous country music makers
Cadence Weapon - Afterparty babies
Blitzen Trapper - Wild Mountain Nation (so good I accidentally bought it twice)
Can't complain about any of them so far
I'm going to listen to Bambi's Dilemma now, if I can find it
Great album.
That Mae Shi rekkid is pretty special too.
Surprised you didn't already have Pinkerton though....
Nope.
I've always been a blue album/b sides/hash pipe kinda part-time weezer fan.
Oh, and
Scott Walker - Scott
Fleet Foxes - Sun Giant EP
Twas expensive but it is 18 minutes of loveliness.
Soil & Pimp Sessions - Summer Goddess EP.
Between The Buried And Me - Colors
so far
No Age-Nouns
Russian Circles-Station
Mission of Burma-Peking Spring,Forget
Jens lekman-Oh you're so silent jens
Pitchfork-Eucalyptus
this will destroy you-S/t
Heavy Rocks
I also got the new Torche yesterday, and it's absolutely immense. That hook in 'Grenades' makes my toes tingle.
Today, I got hold of 'Death Church' by Rudimentary Peni. Scorching anarcho punk with a gothic tinge.
.
Man Man - Six Demon Bag & The Man in a Blue Turban With a Face
Don't think I've listened to them enough yet to give a fair responce. But so far I've liked everything I've heard.
Deerhoof - Reveille.
Just lovely. Lots and lots out of ten.
The Cure - Disintegration & Blood Flowers
I'd already heard and liked both albums before, I just wanted to own them. I do prefer happy Cure stuff though.
Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation
You can't go wrong with Sonic Youth.
Steve Reich - Music For 18 Musicians
which is really wonderful.
Arvo Part - Tabula Rasa. Not really listened to this as much as I should have, it's been slightly overshadowed by Reich.
Animal Collective - Water Curses. This turned up today, and soundtracked my walk to lectures in the sun. Lovely.
No Age - Nouns. Just fucking astounding. I love this band so, so, so, so, so much.
Waiting for my limited edition Gregor Samsa album to show up too.
