im liking it,

this is real! yey!

yeyeyey

I'm really pleased that was the first comment. Instant cat-amongst-the-pigeons!

Joe - www.anewbandaday.com

hmm

:D

such an effort to download though lol

yea

ther all individual, and theres 2 songs missing, first 8 is good tho :)

Fuck yeah, more than happy with this..........

I love Pork and Beans anyway, two other album tracks to come and then the 4 bonus tracks too, one of which is Pig which we all know is great.

Is it too early to say best album since Pinkerton?

if this is true

:D

This will be tomorrow's listening

I'm off to bed now. P.S. Pork and Beans is good

And the Greatest Man that Ever Lived

sounds like American Idiot-era Green Day.

SCORE!

4 of these 7 songs are good or very good IMHO

Cold Dark Heart is a bit dull, Heart Songs and Thought I knew are decent enough album tracks, but nothing more than that. Having said that, I reckon Heart Songs may be a slow burner....good lyrics.

So 4 very solid tracks plus P&B makes 5, with any luck the other songs will rule too. Factor in pig and the 3 other bonus tracks and this could well turn out to be what we've been waiting for.

Sure, it's no Pinkerton and certainly no Blue, but it's no fucking Make Believe either!

Fuck yeah,,,,,,,,,,,

Heart Songs has just grown on me!

Just finished Heart Songs...

...I liked it from the off!

Really really like this so far :D

So I've just finished my first listen through the leaked tracks...

...I actually really liked Thought I knew.

Although I definitely agree with the criticisms of Cold Dark World - REALLY boring.

However 7 out of 8 isn't bad. I just hope they live up to repeated listenings.

One more time then bed I think...

*Cold Dark World

Right, 'Thought I Knew' and 'Cold Dark World' are tracks 7 and 8 on the album. They're also the only weak tracks that we know of so far.

Current tally runs 6/2 good/bad, so with any luck and going by the usual protocol of tactical tracklisting 'Automatic' and/or 'The Angel and the One' should be good.

Automatic

is already out there. Well the LA Riots remix is. Sounds OK, Pat on vocals.

I completely agree with your good/bad verdicts but would say that The Relationship version of 'Thought I Knew' is a slight improvement, still the weakest track.

re: cold dark world

Rivers' voice sounds like Issac Brock a little bit in this song... while the song itself is a bit plodding, that's enough to make it a winner for me!

Surprised at how good the album is, to be honest.

I love

Troublemaker.

This has gotta be good to be anywhere near Green. They haven't released anything decent in 7 years now.

Can't wait to hear the rest.

I liked Green, but Maladroit is the current.........

3rd best for me.

However, once we hear this album in full plus the bonus songs I reckon this could quite easily usurp it.

oh my.

I hope to find a full link when I go home.

Work is dead today and I've got a new job anyway........

so I'm going to piss off home in a minute (something about Thursday being the new Friday) Will Muxtape this when I get back.

Hot damn...........

the new Weezer songs aren't showing up in any of my folders for some reason.

I'll burn you a copy to disc if you like?

By way of consolation, you'll most likely love a band called Ozma who sound like Blue/Pinkerton era Weezer so I'll stick an Ozma best-of up here later,

Oh its cool.

I'll grab them when I get home. I was just bored in work and Senspace is blocked but muxtape isn't.

I'll still kiss you if you want.

taking ages to swap tracks but

apb114.muxtape.com

excuse the other stuff, they're being replaced but muxtape is reeeeeaaaallllly slow for me at the minute....

Well I got a couple up

with ten other tracks I was trying to delete, then it decided to delete everything.
So clean slate, start again with troublemaker.....

Try again

works for me now!

I FUCKING LOVE YOU.

If we ever meet I will buy you a drink. or many. The next 2 hours will fly in.

No problem,

just spreading the joy of weez

best lyrics ever

i will protect you, never disrespect you, but if you need love, then i'll be here to sex you.

long live rivers.

jesus

this weather+troublemaker=:D:D

oh man

this song has so many missed opportunities for great chord changes, it's unreal.

I still quite like it though.

uh

that's the point? its a two chord song

The Greatest Man That Ever Lived

is soo good.
As is troublemaker. Shame about the last 2 though.

everybody get dangerous=

rchp - cant stop predicting to the shindig

jesus fucking christ.

The Greatest That Ever Lived is absolutely WHAT THE HELL.

In a good way.

ok

it's back now

someone send me a link please!

I need this!

I still cant believe track 2.

it makes no sense.

IT MAKES NO SENSE.

Nestor

I'm scared. Can't bring myself to listen any further than track 2...but I was immediately worried by the line in Troublemaker...er..."Sleeping with some beeyatch, gonna have some keeyads."

WTF x10000000000000000.

This is clearly Weezer's commercial suicide album.

:D :D

EXACTLY.

I've skipped through most of it

It's really really crap, boring mid-paced fluff. As expected from the last 10 years of their existence. Oh god, that one that sounds like Red Hot Chili Peppers = ugh. Can't stop addicted to the shindig!

Yeah, I don't really like any of it.

I just keep listening to The Greatest Man.... wide eyed at the audio equivalent of the record cover.

so true!!

that's the worst pile of gash i've ever been subjected to, so very disapointing!

Really really really

BAD!

Move on people - let it go

...

did Rivers just rhyme Biatch with Kiaads?

:(

no way - I'm gutted at the bad response

is it 'Make Believe' bad?

Or 'Green' bad?

Because it it's 'Green' bad, then it could still be a summer soundtrack album.

You seriously just need to listen

to track 2 - "The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived" - and all your questions will be answered. I don't think a more bamboozling song will be released this year.

^this.

Because I don't know what bamboozling means, which pretty much summarises my feelings on that track.

The Greatest Man That Ever Lived

is weezer doing paranoid android
only rather than there being three seperate sections to the song

there's 84

It's Weezer bad

They made 2 fantastic records and a whole other pile of irrelevant crap for kids. Based on their last 3 albums, anyone who thought this one might be good is basically a daftie.

YOU WANTED ARTS AND CRAFTS!?

NANANANANANANA

THAT'S RIGHT!

Seriously. This is gold. gold.

Quite frankly

they should have put The Greatest Man That Ever Lived out as the first single.

"Someone once said all the world's a stage..."

This has more than surpassed my expectations

The Greatest Man That Ever Lived is absolutely INSANE!!!! Like a lo-fi Bohemian Rhapsody!

Fuck the haterz.........

give it a chance!

^This

I gave them a chance 10 years ago

And they made a mockery of everything they meant to me as a teenager. I listened to most of the new record and it sounds like bland, mid-paced, fuzz pop for American radio.

Really don't understand the backlash

This album sounds great! I'll definetely be getting the special edition (if there is one?)

Yes! The deluxe edition which will be avaialble

on CD and through iTunes contains 4 bonus tracks:

11. "Ms. Sweeney"
12. "Pig"
13. "The Spider"
14. "King"

Question

If Rivers isn't singing on all these tracks, who is? "Thought I knew" totally doesn't sound like him...

Sorry if this sounds dumb!

'Pig' would have been so good...

rocked up Blue-style. Shame. Still great though.

The Greatest Man

Seriously fucking rocks!

The "I'm gonna tear down the walls, i'm not gonna be there when you call", section is pure sexwee.

4.58 to the end...

Is unadulterated genius. No? NO?

this is the album they should have made after pinkerton

im gonna pretend the last 8 years were a horrible dream

=W= forum geeks seem to be 70/30 in favour of

declaring this the best album since Pinkerton.

However, a disturbing number of those sickos consider Make Believe superior to Green or Malacdroit.

it is

maladroit is a completely worthless album, green is pretty flimsy, make believe is a better version of green

It's all still sinking in...

But my gut is to agree with the 70.

'TGMTEL' it is UTTER genius.

Incidentally...

Weerez records are going hella cheap on Play right now. £2.99 for Pinkerton!

I am loving Heart Songs so much right now..

the part that starts at 2:28 is giving me goosebumps for some reason

listened to it very briefly

'The Greatest Man That Ever Lived' is pretty awesome, 'Pork and Beans' is a good pop song...most of it seems pretty average / banal, but hopefully this will change after a few listens.

Comparing it to 'Pinkerton' is ridiculous - don't torture yourself.

If you don't like it

you can shove it...

but you don't like it

you love it

AFTER THE THE HAVOC

THAT I'M GOING TO WREAK

NO MORE WORDS
THE CRITICS HAVE TO SPEAK

:D

I keep p
