I've been overpaid.
I am not sure what to do?
ARRRRRRRRGH.
I get paid weekly and for some reason there are three additional days pay in there.. instead of five days, I've been paid for 8.
Not sure what to do?
What

Hmm, don't spend it

wait for a couple of days and see if HR say anything?

^This

keep it!

if questioned about it claim innocence
you know it makes sense.

given that they are forcing me out of a job

and I have nothing lined up because the market is so shit, I am very very tempted!

well in that case

....follow your conscience....

Keep the money

separate in case they ask for it back. After a year or two, spend it!

don't do anything

unless your employers bring it up with you.

this happens to me regularly.

I take the moral low ground but it bites me in the ass and finance usually discover their error within a few weeks and whisk it back. May as well risk it - your finance dept. may be of lesser quality than mine

i can see how this is a dilemma

but i cant for the life of me see why its a MORAL dilemma.
rather the dilemma is: will they find out about it

SPEND THE EXTRA

GETTIN' FACKIN' PIIIISSSSSSEEEEDDDD MMMMMAAAAAAATTTTTEEEE!!!

really.. so I spend all my time getting pissed, do I?

I don't read, I don't go to galleries, play music, go to gigs, museums, art shows, or interact with society in any other way than getting insanely drunk..?

Honestly, give it a rest will you?

Oh, I don't doubt you do those things

You just do them whilst your RIPPED OFF YER FACKIN' TITS!

Well, at least that's what you come on the boards to tell everyone.

When have I ever said that? What a load of shit.

You are SO full of shit your brain has become poo.

I'm hardly ever on here these days anyway (only recently as a bit bored at work). I posted y'day about being drunk at work - it was my bday and was taken out for a glass of wine during the day. Hardly getting smashed.

Go fuck yourself.

rrrrrrrrummmmble!!!!!

ding-ding

round 4

Because she's drunk

and drunk people are more inclined to be aggressive.

I've noticed you haven't been around much lately.

I just assumed you were sepnding more time in the FACKIN' PUB, you know, concentrating on geting SMASHED!

I'm sorry, but say what you like, most of your threads are about drinking/being drunk/how you might be getting drunk in the future.

It's really boring.

you are insane.

bye for now.

yet clicheguevara,

you seem to be the one bringing it up, not her!

I say keep the money, this happened to me a few times, they never noticed.. And they paid me dirt anyways so i didn't feel bad about it.

Are you flirting with me?

It's ok if you are.

a girl in my office has been over paid for the past year

they've realised now, and have taken it out of her pay. take heed.

that's actually really crap.

I'm leaving here in just over three weeks tho so might get away with it?
I won't spend it for awhile tho... I'll save it for SONAR - SO I CAN GET PISSED THERE FOR FREE. Whoo yaaay me.

getting pissed = good

getting pissed for free = better

I got overpaid by £3,000 at uni

I was skint. I kept the lot and spent it on rent, guitars and eating out. I gained two stone.

It ruled.

Sit tight

Spend it only after say 2 months.

I went mental with a shedload of overpaid money when the crappy job I had in 4th year overpaid every employee by about 30% of their normal monthly wage. They caught up with me 7 weeks later :(

Had to go back and work for free for a bit otherwise they were going to kill me.

I wouldn't spend it for now but wouldn't necessarily tell 'em either.

If the money's in your account it'll minimise the chances of you getting overdrawn at any point in the future whilst also meaning you can pay it back if asked.

Also, three additional days isn't a massload of money - you could plausibly not notice but obviously if you've spent it you've noticed.

If in a few months time no-one's said anything then you can reasonably assume they never will and spend it...

ask yes_

he likes telling his 'overpaid at work' story.
