18 months on and I still think they're smashing. The album is definitely worthy of all praise.
People should like or dislike music for what it is, not for what its trendy/backlash status is.
Foals, I think, have done really well, and there's a surprisingly interesting and varied sound to the album, even if they left off their breakthrough singles.
This and Hummer are both great.
There are other great tracks too but to leave them off the album just seems perverse.
I can imagine why they did it
as they probably want to broaden their sound, avoid becoming a one-trick pony, etc, etc, but it doesn't really play to their strengths.
