She is the least articulate person I think I've seen on that programme for a long time.
Aside from the obvious association, why the hell is she there?

Maybe
She's not a cunt, and they are trying to convince the public that he might not be.
Doubt it though.

Columnist
Sunday Times.
I hope she has more to say in that
than she does on this. She appears to have taken barely any interest in politics this year at all.
That's not a reason for being there per se
She has nothing to contribute to the discussion whatsoever (aside from attempting (and failing) to promote her brother as something more than a public school clown).
His spin-doctors
are now living with the humiliation that they've actually sucessfully got a Harry Enfield character into a position of power.
They were just paid monkeys on the Conservative payroll, it was a laugh, never taken too seriously, but hell, they got paid for it, and Boris is a nice and kind man despite his many faults, so, why not, eh?
Suddenly, reality sets in. The laughable loveable character who has No Idea Whatsoever actually wins, and they're so dismayed that their good natured backing joke went too far, that they're in a permanently intoxicated state for at least a week afterwards. And it's a bank holiday, the temporary residence in the South of France calls - who has the time for work?
Who the hell else is going to back him up? Under mitigating circumstances you have to drag out the chaff because no comment is bad publicity.
Also: Newsnight is a detestable programme. They seem to only ever have dispicable people on there who aren't properly able to hold their ground and pass over valid points without making themselves look like utter tits and/or shouting over people.
I used to have some respect for Jezza but now he's just a monkey to the speechwriters. Such is the price you pay when you sell out.
Let's all just sit back and enjoy the show. Prince Philip's got away with it for years because he can't easily be ousted. Don't believe the same applies to a Mayor, but correct me if I'm wrong.
Question Time, not Newsnight...
Ah. oops. apologies.
I'm so worn out this week that my brain isn't capable of understanding, only piss taking.
I'd dearly love to see a repeat of that :D
