Very good news to start off your Friday - John Waters is working on a new movie. Not just any new movie, but a Christmas movie. Called Fruitcake. About a boy named after his favourite pudding.

Johnny Knoxville obviously won John over in A Dirty Shame, because he'll be back to star alongside Parker Posey (who, in the picture Hollywood Reporter have used here, looks a bit like Rosie O'Donnell). Here's the blurb:

"The plot is officially under wraps but is said to center on the title character, a boy named after his favorite dessert. He runs away from home during the holidays after he and his parents are caught shoplifting meat, then meets up with a runaway girl raised by two gay men and searching for her birth mother."
