I Just picked up "All Is Violent, All Is Bright" on the recommendation of a friend and its really really amazing :-)

Anyone else like them?

Also who else is good at doing what they do? By that I mean instrumental rock with a slightly higher tempo than mogwai et al.

it

reminds me of Rock of Travolta; similarly in that its post-rock with an electronic synthesis type of thing. RoT are Oxford-based and really should tour more as I got their debut Uluru when it came out donkies ago and they've never toured. which is pants.

Reminded me

of 65dos, though less glitchy.

The obvious recommendation

for me would be Ekplosions in the sky if you have not heard of them already that is. I like some instrumental bands but it seems EITS just do it way better than all the bands I have heard - which in all fairness isn't a huge amount.

god is an astronaut's similar artists

is often my last.fm radio station of late, and brings up a lot of EITS, 65 day of static, yndi halda, this will destroy you, etc. they were recommended to me by an irish friend who also loves the redneck manifesto (they also have a lot of instrumental/higher temp stuff, but not so post-rocky).
