anyone watching? his shows are always a bit disappointing because you know she isn't actually going to kill a kitten.

although i do like him for saying unconscious rather than subconscious.

i'm thinking

that man who punched that smug cat may have been influenced...

Derren Brown's show is completely faked.

Why would she wait until there was one second left to press the button?

Why would she be so fucking stupid to pass up 500 quid, so she can do something which she KNOWS will kill a kitten.

the only bit that is faked

is that he picks people who he knows he will be able to manipulate (and of course doesn't show the failures, if there are any).

Becaused she had been regressed back to a childlike state.

Children have underdeveloped moral reasoning, so would be more concerned with pleasure seeking (pressing the button) than the 500 quid.
:D

you kidding me?

If I was nine I would've much preferred 500 quid to blow on that bubblegum with fake pokemon cards in than press a button.

And it's more the randomly waiting until there's one second left thing. Why wait until then?

And negative suggestion only works in small instances (hence why the children opening the box, which they DIDN'T KNOW WHAT WAS INSIDE, worked.) Negative suggestion can't convince someone to kill.

Tut tut, I'm guessing you weren't a terribly mischevious child then?

Also, if Milgram could prove that people were prepared to give a 450v shock to a human being just because someone in a lab coat told them to do it, then surely negative suggestion would be powerful enough to get someone to kill a kitten?

Because of negative suggestion, DUH!

Did you even watch the show?!
