There doesn't seem to be any black people at Love Music Hate Racism

does anyone else find that weird? seems to miss the point a bit if they only have white indie bands playing, because only white indie kids would go. instead of having Poly Styrene and Hard-Fi (or whoever the fuck it was) murder 'Oh Bondage Up Yours' they might as well have had some 'grindie' collaborations (or similar)to encourage a more diverse audience, otherwise it seems a bit pointless, no?. (The good, the bad and the queen are ok though)

whats stopping non-white indie kids from turning up?

I'll tell you what, nothing! It's not as if you have to be white to like the bands that were on. also, it was about spreading the message, regardless of colour.

yeah

but black people like good music

Maybe more blacks would show if there black acts performing

or if they called it "Hate Music, Love Racism" hehe

Roll Deep

and Jay Sean played. I don't know if they were shown on TV though.

heh

Black people tend to suffer less vacuous guilt about being middle-class white and very well off so decided to not masturbate their earnest cocks into a self-righteous frenzy for Damon Albarn's benefit

lolz

tbf

There were a lot of non-white non-indie acts further down the list :-P

"further down the list" being a key phrase from that sentence

it's pretty much 'Love White Rock Music, Conduct Minor Racial Discrimination'.

if anything, the non-white, non-indie acts should be headlining with the white, indie acts being further down.

hmm

I never really paid much attention to The Good, The Bad, and the Queen but for a band with Tony Allen in they lack a certain rhythmic drive I'd expect them to have.

there were lots

of black artists at the event and the audience was very mixed racially. so this thread is as redundant as your attempt to look liberal.

ouch

it was just an observation from what i saw on telly.

black

kids should play. and massive who cares
