On Friday whilst in town i spotted Audrey from Corrie (well we're short of proper stars up here!). She was in a bit of a disguise, donning a really cheesy baseball cap, a high-collared jacket and some Primark jeans. We were waiting to cross the tram tracks, i noticed her and did the campest hello known to man, touching her elbow whilst saying 'Alright, Audrey, love?". She looked at me in horror, just about smiled and walked off. Probably one of the best moments of my life.
my mum said she saw Audrey in the supermarket t'other day
not as good as when Steve McDonald's dad bumped into the back of her car
...

Colin and Justin, the interior designers standing about in Princes Square in Glasgow. They went to college with my step-mum, so I thought this would be a topic of conversation if I were to go and say hello. They didn't know how I was talking about when I said her name though. Probably because I forgot that they'd have known her by her maiden name and not the married one I said. FAIL.
I also saw Alex Kapranos of Franz Ferdinand fame looking at records in Relics in the west end of Glasgow. Again, I was related to someone who knew him (my uncle went to Kosovo with him and one other guy to drive back mine removing equipment and aid vehicles or something), but going by how much of an eejit I looked last time, I chose not to say hello. I told my uncle I'd seen him, who told Alex, who then e-mailed me to say I should have spoke to him, which was nice.
I also saw Will from Will and Grace (I don't know the actor's name) on the beach in Canada last year. I didn't approach him because I didn't know his actual name and I' have looked like a muppet.
Wow, that post looks longer than I thought it was going to be.

Prior to that I saw Ken Stringfellow from The Posies in the Old Blue Last sometime towards the end of last year.
I like how he's
so famous that he's known as 'the bassist from Muse', rather than by his actual name. Which I don't know either I'm afraid.
