i'm about to leave the office.

So i'll speak to you tomorrow, Annie. Have a fun night, Annie. I'll hopefully be online with more frequency tomorrow, so i'll chat rubbish with you then A-N-N-I-E!

wut?

wit?

Hopefully thinking:

"you know what, we haven't played the UK in ages...let's go there again!"

dear brand new

user shucks on drownedinsounddotcom has madea very good point in the post above this one

i thought this was a thread about the tricky song

from maxinquaye. my bad.

Apparently with "The Devil and God"

They made an entire album, mastered it and everything. And then threw it away and started again

recording apparently

but given their track record that probably means we'll see a new album in about 2012.

oooh

they arctually really are

but you should probably ignore their first album

I've said it before etc

But The Devil And God is, i think, the best album this decade.

^agreed

its always a toss up between ok computer and the devil and god (as to which is my favourite)
(i just wish welcome to bangkok was longer on record because at GIAN last year in birmingham they did a 10 minute version with 2 drum kits and it was probably the best thing musically iv ever seen)

Latest is...

They've started their own label and re-released Kevin Devine's last record.

I imagine they will self-release their new one too - if they can get out of the deal with Interscope which, by all accounts, they have never been happy with - hence the lack of videos to promote TDAG singles.

i kinda like it, as a pop punk album

but their later stuff is far far better

It has 2 acceptable songs

70x7 and Soco Ammaretto Lime.

Everything else on that record is guff

^definitely those two.

I liked The Shower Scene, Jude Law, Mix Tape and No Seatbelt Song as well.

the shower scene is great

the bit where everyone stops playing is just :D

those, but ALSO

No Seatbelt Song, Jude Law and Logan To Government Centre are all ace.

The rest of YFW I can take or leave.

The first album

Is brilliant. A pop punky gem, and highly under rated.

Deja Entendu was a huge shock to me, as I was expecting a repeat of the first album. Couldnt have been more wrong.

The devil ... is brilliant, but still not quite as good as people make out.

Still I do love them!

i heard deja first

its great, then i heard the first one which i love so so much right now especially, the third doesnt do as much for me. i mean its good, but i like brand new for whiney pop punk.
