Is there any Paramore appreciation around these parts?

I spent this afternoon listening to both their albums (both bought for me by ex's) and they're actually pretty good. Sure, they're hardly on par with Mogwai when it comes to experimentation, but there's certainly nothing wrong with them.

So, does anyone else agree? or indeed disagree?

I like the way

her body looks.

At first...

I heard just one track and I thought "that's quite catchy" and then I went into a coffee shop where the whole album was being played, and it annoyed the hell out of me. The phrase 'bubblegum shite' came to mind.

yeah certainly

they are a fun band

Agree

Is it time for another pop punk thread?

Paramore > Blink 182

That's my only input to a general pop-punk thread.

Id love to Paramore all over

her face!!

^ SWINE!!!!

THOU SHALT NOT COVET TOM DELONGE.

(Unless it's angel's and airwaves, they had no songs about sex with guys.)

Paramore > Mogwai

ooooo controversial!

I might agree with you actually.

Mogwai can be bloody dull sometimes.
Brilliant other times, but still, FUCKING SNORE! They're a seven out of ten.

Paramore are an eight.

This is very correct.

3 minute pop punk is a whole lot funner than 12 minute post rock epics.

yeah shame paramore dont make good pop punk though

and they covered part of an ATDi song. i mean what were they thinking?

that atdi cover was painful

it really was

You talk a lot of sense

IMO, Mogwai are pretty dull. Paramore are pretty good and bonus points for bagging one hot lead singer.

riot is a really fun album

its not clever but it makes me dance.i like em

the refused quote

on one of the songs is quite funny.

"we want the airwaves back"

look at the opener from their set at OBW

6 minute version of 'Let The Flames Begin'.

Less 3-min pop punk, more epic jamming please.

Anyway, everyone knows I heart Paramore...

I saw that.

That's what encouraged me to listen to the albums. The entire performance is really great, especially 'Let The Flames Begin', which is pretty average on the album.

i would

do her
